If this has already been mentioned or proposed, please direct me and I will delete this initial posting. It would be nice (in my opinion) to have an option to choose a smaller space such as smaller and more intimate spaces at a reduced price, lets say $1.99-$2.99 for those who still want a space but are not willing to pay for the $4.99-5.99 for each space. I am all for much larger spaces as well, if given the chance without giving up any functionality. These smaller "apartments" would still include the basics and would give the opportunity to invite friends over, it just wouldn't be as extravagant. Just as an option. A few ideas would be perhaps certain parts of a home, bedroom, kitchen, living room. I would also like to bring up that it would be awesome if all spaces gave the option of choosing between daytime and nighttime such as the Loot Sunset Yacht. I've sometimes become less fond of visiting the lake side cabin because it doesn't include enough lighting, and of the first part of the Home Mansion because it was too bright (sounds too picky). It would just be great if we could change it. I am now less likely to buy a space with just mere impulsiveness, and will until they change this. So tell me what you think, too much of an over-exaggeration, or perhaps not needed or necessary adjustments?
Sounds Good I agree certain places over power light or lack it which is why I bought the luxury Lake house which seems to be Night Time Only and then the Hollywood Hill Home which is Daytime when I bought the Ameratsu Yatch it didn't even have the lighting feature which is awesome as far a smaller places for smaller prices why not have a lager space wit a 50 item limit still leaves gaps in area a smaller space would look full
Any Space Has The Problem With 50 Item Limit + 2 Active Items .. BUT I Would Love A Space With A Day/Night Cycle. E Hug Entertainment Did Show This A While Back ..
Thanks for the input, I have both those places the luxury weekend lake house and the Hollywood Hill place and which it could be switched on or off sometimes. About the larger spaces, I completely agree as well. If they allowed for more items that didn't make it look empty, I would be willing to buy it, even at a higher price. As long as it would keep the same functionality as the original spaces, only bigger and increased item limit, for it to be fair, smaller spaces would receive a smaller limit for items. I don't know the specifics on the limits for items being 50 even in larger spaces, but I assume the spaces run on specific servers and those take up more memory dedicated to each person. I would also say by maybe paying more for a space it would compensate enough to keep it running at the same ratio of memory. I'm not an expert in websites or server hosting, but maybe they could come up with something to allow multiple spaces that people own with a separate layer for just the items and positioning. If that didn't make any sense..sorry.
I Would Think Its The Memory Of The PS3 Itself, Allocated Memory. Given The Amount Of Features Within The PS3, Everything Shares A Bit Of It So I Would Say Home Got A Piece Of That. Maybe It Wasn't Much To Begin With .. I Really Hate The Limits .. They Continued To Produce Larger Estates .. Not Thinking It Would Be Empty In Certain Areas. I Personally Like The Latest Rapstar Studio, It Has Nice Setting And It Is Somewhat Dark .. With Proper Decorations, I Could Make It In Something Nice
Another way to help us out right now is to have multiple layout save slots. So if you want to change the entire layout it's easy, instead of starting over every time. If anything this would be the simplest to implement, because the layout is just a small file that stores item locations, correct me if I'm wrong. This would be also useful if they implemented day and night, so you can have separate layouts for morning and evening.
That looked awesome! Although I have to keep in mind that Home is still in beta. I just hope the memory is adjustable, otherwise a new update or perhaps the developed Home will fix this.
Ultra, another useful suggestion. I was not aware of any size of files (You probably know more about that than me lol) It would be a great and promising option to have things move faster, and if the size is small maybe the amount of memory needed to run it will be minimal. The separate day/night layout would be awesome as well. If I unintentionally double post it, it's because I want to respond in a somewhat timely manner.
Forgot pretty kitchens bedrooms and night to day, the thing that other social applications have is the ability to stream video n music into its spaces, video tends to be u tube ironically I can watch YPSH vids sitting in another social apps apartment and Sony music have a whole list of licensed stuff you could buy to listen to in home, even internet radio would be a good idea, not the few tunes we do have
That would be EPIC that's something I've always said ( Home ) should have is Youtube for Tv and Upload Music to are Ps3 to Play outloud the range in shows and information availible on YouTube is enough to keep me stay on my boat instead on login off to watch it on XL YouTube ( for Ps3 ) the music idea is good for parties but only in a Home space ( dont wanna hear it in the Theater ) but I also wanted to see ppl on Home be able to ( Skateboard / Rollerblade ( move faster) and Go to a casino and win Psn points and buy items with winnings ) just like Sodium 2 is doin
well i know it would be hard for sony to have day night cycles right now for public spaces cause of memory, time zones or they just don't want......welll what other reasons you can think of lol. now this is just a guess and i am not sure on details ( not a pc wiz lol ) but they already have a night sky like with the lake house and day like with everything else. now each personal space is saved to your hdd so why could they not just have both the day and night time skys apart of the file for each space ( guessing a few 100kb extra per space ) and then you could have it set to the ps3 clock that it is on. now you wouldn't have anything like the sun or moon going across the sky but at a set time it could change from day to night. now i don't know if that can be done or how much more memory to each space but that could be a small step to having day and night cycles in home .
Also think they need to sort issues with already released apartments before adding night n day to them
I agree with the ability to allow users to stream their own media, conclusive to the purchases to the rights of the spaces bought I am uncertain if such rights are given. It seems to be a convenience for Playstation ads and other certain ads to be played (= more money) Perhaps maybe in the future. Crow, yeah I think it has a lot to do with the memory aspects as well, but as I said the Yacht showcases the possibility for it to be made. The expectations have been raised. I will consider putting more thought into a space now more so than before until they change this.
