hopefully this is for the received new item bug

 

Could be that they're pushing through the patch for the reward freeze bug early, I'm sure they'd like to get past this issue and patch it as quickly as possible, the last thing Sony need right now is to have more customers mad at them.

 

I kinda stopped playing Novus Prime for fear of the glitch finally claiming me x.x Too bad as I want my Captain's Jacket.

 

That's an odd time. 2:30 AM PST to 4:30 AM.

This will be after my final project mesh is due. And I'll be out like a light anyways.

 

yeah this is some strange times for Maintenance... Only 2hrs also? Can they really fix the item Bug in only Two Hours... Or is this so they can just sleep for two hours? LOL! That's WTH i like to know?

What are they doing this for? If it's the item Bug seems like they would of said so... So People would be Happy Campers! But they didn't say... That's the odd part... Hmmmm!

 

they probably don't want to say that, in case they can't fix it maybe. if for some reason they could not i'm guessing they would just remove rewards until they find a solution. kinda like when they removed the coin toss.

 

It could be they want to put some content online that was delayed by the outtage. though they did say this week a fix was coming for the rewards error. Though they said it was coming later this week.

 

Communicative as ever, aren't they? Just tell us what's going on Sony! I want to go back on Home and with the item bug I can't be bothered.

download the 3.65 system update this solved the reward freeze for me

 

I downloaded that back on the 7th June. Made no difference at all, but then it never claimed to fix this issue or have anything to do with Home. It was a software title stability update which also renamed one XMB option for the sake of greater clarity.

 

Looks like the maintenance is late/ cancelled as I am still able to sign into home, and yes the firmware update makes no difference to home issues. [MENTION=1610]Pendrake[/MENTION] Which XMB option was renamed?

 

Gosh, now you're testing my memory... it was on the game column - one of the game data folders. I think it may have been the Minis one that changed to include PSP in the title or somesuch. Certainly in that area of the XMB, anyway.

Indeed, it seems that different people find different fixes and not all fixes work for all people. In fact, there have been so many variations on fixes that I'm starting to believe that if you just keep trying it'll eventually start working again no matter which fix you tried. Doesn't mean I'm having any luck though, unfortunately.

My guess is that you got lucky and the issue cleared itself the next time you tried Home after the update. I've not seen any other claims that 3.65 helped and neither did Sony claim that it was in any way related. As I said, Sony stated that it was for "stability with certain titles" (a phrase which almost always refers to future, unreleased games rather than ones already out, which is why we never notice a difference when this line appears in press releases) and a change to XMB wording.

If it cleared the inability to earn Home rewards for you then cool stuff and I'm jealous of your success, but it was never intended to clear it and I believe you just got very lucky. Still, well done.

Strange, i was at Home three times yesterday (June 13) since its already June 14 here now (Rio de Janeiro - Brazil GMT -3)
I log on into home with no problem at all and that was good, since last week i was getting a lot of errors when trying to sing in on home, but this week that problem went away, thankfully.
