Trill already posted that one - interesting/scary reading - one would think that after 3+ weeks - Sony would have had a handle on this situation *if these reports are true* I don't see the network coming up anytime soon - but I try and look at a bright spot - I will have one month free of DCUO if/when the network ever comes back up - and one extra day for each day its not working. Now - if only the network was..............well - you know JPConway
I know I've said this before but I feel it bears repeating. With how many people who have been effected, and with the motivation being pure greed, either to steal the money of people who actually do worthwhile things to get it, or as revenge because Sony tried to take away their ability to illegally download games without playing, I hope the hacker's lives are completely and utterly ruined. Prison time, in ability to leave the house out of fear of prison time, I don't care, with what they did, they no longer deserve anythign close to a normal life any more. We're pushing four weeks, FOUR WEEKS, because some lazy jerkass HAD to have everything for nothing. They are terrorists, pure and simple, and deserve to be treated like the trash they are.
I rather have them open up before the end of May or at least within two weeks before I go to my anime con.
@ hyperkane, i know, like watching a train wreck, cringe worthy as it is, i watch. @ kwoman, though i certainly trust a source like reuters more than most, i still like to read the positive articles, even if there's little merit :sigh:
The way I see it, the more holes they discover, the less there will be for Anon to exploit. The more time they spend offline, the better a system we will get. time down now equals permanent improvements for PSN.
PSN Online So PSN Online & requires a new password for access, does that mean this thread is over ? (sniffle sniffle) Do we get parting gifts for contributing to this thread like gummy bears & footie PJs ? Is the party over. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here lol
Strange. I turned on my PS3 and it asked to update. So far so good. Then it says I need to change my password and loads a mini error message screen (for which I forget the error). After that, I restarted my PS3 and it says currently undergoing maintenance again. Hopefully this is just a hiccup and will be corrected soon.
neko, I wish you the best. Hopefully it will resolve itself soon for you. Check the Support section in the Official forums. Good luck Buddy.
Hard to say without knowing the error. But it's possible you need to check your email. The accounts won't authorize a password unless your account is ACTIVATED on that specific PS3. You know, the account is activated for running movies or game downloads. If you never activated it, it will send an email to you with instructions.
It works now. It must have been a server issue or something. The official playstation forum had users reporting the same problem.
Yesterday, i was asked to download the new 3.61 firmware, but as of today im still not able to logon on PSN I'm sure the first places for the PSN to be restored were THE AMERICAS, both the North and the South ones, so if Europe gets PSN before South America, there's definetely reason enough for not trusting Sony anymore.
They seem to be going in much smaller blocks than just NA, EU, JP and Asia. The US seemed to have about 4 or 5 different regions that were launched at different times. Sofar, they seemed to be going by sales figures. IDK....
