Ya know, right now that Geohot guy is the luckiest jerk in the world. His releasing the jailbreak of the ps3 operating system gave hackers the ability to infiltrate Sony's server. PSN is not up in Japan yet. There have been no evidence of running. The person that wrote the article probably got one person's BS lie and believed it is online. Or just wanted to get fame for his article.
I wouldn't quote anything but KNOWN reliable sources. Even then, these last two weeks there has been loads of mis-information out there. Best bet? Turn on your PS3 and try to log in. If you can't, it's not working yet
Or ur PS3 no longer is compatible with PSN and they now require u to run out and BUY a new Model just to get back on PSN! Well with Sony it could happen... Hides for Cover! LOL!
I'm also betting that whenever PSN is up, then the premium account for Toro Station won't affect you if you had lesser yen than 800, since it had been down. I'll have to go see for myself if I was kicked since I had 300 yen left and didn't redeemed my code for 5000 yen. Besides, Faga's right. I went there, and no way it is up. I think Japan might get a benefit for Toro Station to those that are premium members to be free for one month, I'm guessing.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but since I'm not logged into the official Sony forums and have no access to them... Did anyone else get an Email from Sony saying that all your information has been compromised? Only my main account has my real info and credit card on it. I'm going to have to fake that account now too. This has really made me dislike Sony, PSN, and the PS3 even more. I may just stop buying anything from them completely. While PSN is free, and playing online games is free, the games and the PS3 are not free. My personal information is not free either. Especially when there is no freedom on their official forums. I already have an XBOX360, but I'm not going to their side. My background has always been PC, so if anything, I went back to the PC, Steam, etc. Regardless, PSN being down hurts Sony more than anything. I just got my 370Z and am going to my first car meet this Saturday. I don't miss PSN one bit.
