GWAAAA YA YA YA YAHHHHHHH! Madam Liza… Zuni think three female Capcom Welcoming Specialist vessels also cute… especially once magicks brought carcasses back to life. Zuni say feisty devil women his type of companions! But Baron Brain not fool Zuni… he just want vessels for hisself. I knife him in the ankle and gnaw on his kneecap later… teach him lesson! Yoshikawa… The crown not free — you pay for crown, then win woman for free. Seems like strange form of gambling, perhaps to get around local vice or prostitution laws. Either way, what seems like a good deal to you not necessarily good deal to someone else. Gwaaaa ya ya ya… uh-oh… Yeah, you better run you iittle knee-biter! Sorry about that folks; think it's best I take over from here… A big problem Sony has here in trying to implement pay-for-play is perception. When Home first started, Sony promised it would always be free to access… and they still promote Home as such. "Free to access." And to my mind, that means everything is free to access… The funds they are making off the virtual item sales and licensing to other companies should be offsetting any "pay-to-play" charges. Home is still officially in-development ßeta software, so it just seems wrong to implement any pay-to-play schemes at this time. Why should users give Sony money for in-Ho,e games when they still have difficulties managing the free portions of the community? Many problematic bugs are continually ignored; reward items occasionally disappear, and we're essentially told "too bad"; in North America, every event to date had some serious problems in the execution. If Sony wants to charge users to play, they had better prove to use they can give Home the development AND maintenance support it needs to thrive. Right now, it feels more like a patchwork of great ideas that some cheap accountants are trying to hold together with spit & duct tape. They want to take our money, but are reluctant to put it back into the product. On the one hand, I was quite pleased with the pay-for-play Sodium — it is relatively inexpensive; has very deep gameplay; and is constantly bug-fixed and upgraded. The support is fantastic! And while there are certainly extras you can buy, you didn't need any of them to finish the game. But the other pay-to-play ventures have left me extremely dubious — such as the vile Midway carny, whose only purpose was to resell the same tickets over & over & over; where none of the games relied on skill or intelligence, just pure dumb luck & (Sony hopes) perseverance. The jury is still out on Novus Prime and Conspiracy, but so far it appears to be impossible to proceed unless you buy a weapon here, a ship there, then an apartment over there … and Sony right over there hoping we don't realize how much all those "little" items all add up to. In the end, everyone is, of course, free to chose what they wish to spend their money on. But I doubt I will ever be comfortable paying for the privilege of playing mostly ßeta-level software. ◉ ◉ ◉ ◉ ◉ As for companies which have given away free games, there have been quite a few. As Art said, Telltale Games has given away quite a few free games. Even if it is one episode out of five, it is generally self-contained game. That said, they've alsoi given away various free episodes from their Sam & Max , Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Wallace and Gromet and Monkey Island series. They also teamed with Netflix two weeks ago, with new subscribers getting ALL five episodes of Season 3 for free. If a mere "episode" isn't a good enough freebie, how about we move over to Steam… to celebrate the launch of their Mac client, they gave away complete copy of 2009 Game of the Year "Portal" (any version) to anyone who wanted it. No catch. No buying other games. Steam has also given away full versions of major games for other special occasions, plus they always maintain a certain number of other free games that remain available on there servers (here's one current listing: Free Steam games list - Steam Users' Forums). There are many similar instances from other companies as well, such as those developers who've posted their older games free of charge for download. I haven't even mentioned the free game codes that are regularly given out by developers via Twitter or Facebook, etc. — 10 or 20 at a time; with some giving out a hundred codes a day. This happens almost daily. So yes, I can easily name the last time a company gave away a free game to everyone. While they certainly are in the business of selling games and making money — same as any other business — promotions such as these are just one part of doing that business. Right, enough talk for now… it's time to play…
ROFL! I remember old Zuni from the old horror movies. Made me laugh during that time. XD Yes, to reflect on the Capcom Alphabet Quiz in the Capcom Event Lounge once again: 1. Buy the crown for 300 yen in the Capcom 2F in the games department and wear it. 2. Go to the Alphabet Quiz and talk to the girl in the booth and wait until 4 more people with crowns on to play. Once 5 people have been gathered, the girl will then let you all play. 3. Answer 3 questions correctly and don't make a mistake - you are in one of 5 letter positions, so you must use the correct letter in that position. For example, if the answer is BISON and you're on the number 1 spot, then your letter should be B. The others need to spell I, S, O, and N according to their own positions. 4. When you completed all 3, you win a chibi companion.
BISON? WTH! U mean to tell me there asking Questions from Street Fighter? WTH! Man now i wished i could play that game i WIN for sure... RATS! By: DCS
Here cute video i found on youtube Seems like strange form of gambling, perhaps to get around local vice or prostitution laws 0.0 Its a game not gambling it quite simple game.If you really think this gambling please tell me where you go gamble because if it this simple I gamble there. Aslo pets in japan home 300 yen a piece for primmy and kitty from irem so crown is free even if you only play game once >.< long as you win Please tell me North american paid to play that has with many rewards for only 300 yen >.< Japan get one paid for game and everyone make big deal na has how many now 8 I think >.< prostitution laws There "chibi" little girls that follow you around not anything else! This what they are : Chibi (ちび?, can also be written 禿び is a Japanese word meaning "short person" or "small child". The word has gained currency amongst fans of manga and anime. Its meaning is of someone or some animal that is small. It can be translated as "little", but is not used the same way as chiisana [小さな] (tiny, small, little in Japanese) but rather cute. A prototypical example of the former usage in the original Japanese which brought the term to the attention of Western fans is Chibiusa, a pet name for the diminutive daughter of Sailor Moon formed from Chibi Usagi ("Little Rabbit"). In English-speaking anime and manga fandom (otaku), the term chibi has mostly been conflated with the 'super deformed' style of drawing characters with oversized heads or it can be used to describe child versions of characters.
yeah midway took a lot of skill not just lucky had learn to play the games hugs And for sure Smile was worth the wait she super cute
The Baron was not insulting you or anyone else here. He was stating the facts as he believes it is about midway. I agree with him for a different reason. Sony had provided store information to midway. Particularly your spending habits on Home. With that data they then profiled you and downloaded a script to your HDD. That script determined how much it would cost for you to win all those games. People have spent $100 $200 even $500 just to finish midway 1. They went even further with midway 2. They are preying on peoples additive personalties and raked in a lot of money. At the Home community expense. Just because a lot people didn't get mugged by this program doesn't mean they weren't doing that. If they profiled everyone then people would have just walked away. They used the same scams Carney's have been using for hundreds of years. Making people shills without them knowing it to draw other people into these games. By the way they never profiled women. Most of the time they were their shills... Added note; When did this country become a totalitarian state? Why can't people state their opinions without being shouted down? Stalin would have loved you people today. If he had this kind of internet in his time. Maybe he wouldn't have killed over 20 million people. Simply because he didn't like what they were saying, writing or even worst thinking. Food for thought people...
I know of several people who did. I have friends who are too embarrassed to tell just how much they spent. Why is that number ($500) always grabs people? Instead of the facts I pointed out with this clear midway scam.... I also got all those rewards with free play. Because I know how these scams work. So it wasn't hard for me either lol. Hey Yoshi with all due respect do you want me to show you how to clean up your post? Not meant as an insult.. Added note; I was writing programs before there were computer science degrees. There using old code in midway. It wasn't hard to do a forensics on this scam. If you think you win anything in a casino or with online gambling. Without them allowing you to win. Then your really skilled in midway lol...
Hi everybody, just won 3rd chibi at Capcom's quizz ^^ some answers: S-HOULD-ER RAINB-OW TRICY-CLE ECBDA (question about numbers)
If dont get skilled how did i do way better in EU then NA at midway. It only cost me 3 pounds to get all rewards for midway then midway 2 only cost me around the same. Aslo asked anyone midway was timing nothing more or less. I can still do level 10 quite easy beside on wheel and rolling ball. Because those are lucky the others are skill and timing. You asked anyone with gold jacket and or the purple one. They tell you the same beside if they just hacked there rewards!
Thanks for the heads up about Smile, companion's really cute lol. Here's a few more quiz answers that I came across. T-ORNAD-O N-ORTHS-TAR -SHOVE-L
As with all games once you figure it out it's easy. Like the old modern warfare mile high club achievement once thought of as near impossible to do. Only 16% of people who played that level on veteran the first year got that achievement. I got it right after finishing the campaign. Not knowing it was so impossible. But when you play it long enough it gets really easy. But if you got a game that charges you money for the littlest thing. Than it's going to get real expensive really fast. Especially if you are using a program designed to make you lose money as much as possible. Once you get a 10 the program knows this and then the program doesn't try to cheat you. Why? Your not spending money anymore. I'm not taking away the fact there are some really skilled gamers out there. You may be one of them. That easily beat midway fair and square. But for the less skilled gamer. That program became a money pit. Remember most people in home are casual gamers not pro's. So their the one's who got victimize here. These people had countless WTF moments in midway me included. That some people said that was just lag. Yeah right and I'm the King of England lol. Here's the facts you can program a server to do anything you want. Make a game easy one out of ten times or once every hundred times. That's how they do it. Just like all gambling machines. You can even set the server to payout to a certain player rather then the so called random winner. This isn't rocket science these kinds of programs have been around for years. Once again If you think you win anything in a casino or with on line gambling. Without them allowing you to win. Then your really skilled in midway get it lol...
