As most of you know, Playstation launched a beta version of an upcoming Rewards program several months ago, which was accessible by invite only. The program rewarded its users with PSN avatars, themes, and even Home rewards for being active on PSN. It was believed that this program was to officially launch and be open to the public on April 1st, 2011, but this was posted by PSRewards, the Sony official who has been reading the Rewards Beta forums, just today about the upcoming Rewards program. " Hey Everyone! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in the PlayStation Rewards Beta, which is ending on March 31. First and foremost, we hope you guys enjoyed participating in this program. It's something new for everyone, and your feedback helped us understand the kinds of things that make you feel appreciated and valued! So a huge thanks is in order to you all. We learned a ton, and while there were a lot of things that worked well, overall, we have decided the program is just not ready to roll out to the public in April as originally planned. But rest assured, we will continue to work to make the PSN community (especially for the fine folks that participated in this program) the best in gaming with new and innovative offerings. We're just getting started. Thank you so much, and if you have any thoughts, post em' right here! We're not vanishing from these boards just yet and we're looking forward to hearing your final thoughts on the program, it not being able to roll out in April, and anything else on your mind (at least regarding the topic at hand!)" You guys rock, PlayStation Rewards Team
We can still get the rewards that's on spaces, mini-games, events, and other PSN games, right? I hope they're just not gonna wipe them all off the face of the Home-world, especially those that are trying.
Um...yeah lol, this thread was implying to the Rewards Program that Sony was attempting to start up and make official, has nothing to do with other Home rewards earned anywhere else. I only brought light to it here because I know there were some who read here in this forum that were wanting a chance in the official Rewards program once it opened up, and also because the beta gave out exclusive Home items, so I assume the official program would as well once it launched.
Really? I'm surprised. Yes it was invite only but I figured everyone at least have heard about it at this point :/
Well that just sucks! I was anxious to see this happen. I think I can translate the Sony-speak here: This program failed except for those who were part of it, so thanks and enjoy your rewards. As for the rest of you, sorry you will never know what it was all about. I will bet the house that we never hear another thing about this program.
Just got and email saying thank's and i'm getting a free t-shirt well awesome hope they send them soon.
PlayStation Rewards program delayed [update: Sony responds] | Joystiq Update: Things are starting to lean towards "delayed indefinitely." A PlayStation representative responded to our query, explaining, "After careful consideration and evaluation following the PlayStation Rewards beta, we have decided not to roll out the program to the public at this time." He added, "We remain committed to providing the best overall consumer experience for our users, and we will be refocusing our efforts in the near future to further developing PlayStation Plus and our other network services."

Just posted from the rewards beta people... Hey guys, Noticed a handful of questions in regards to doing updates on the progress bar. The answer is yes! We WILL be continuing to gather all your accomplishments through March 31st. Remember, it takes time for us to get all the data, so by April 10th, we’ll have compiled all the info for each beta user, and be able to do a final tally on their status. On this date, we’ll be messaging those who achieved a new status and of course, you’ll be getting the download code to get access to the exclusive rewards. As the program will be shut down on March 31st, you won’t be able to track a progress bar after this. But rest assured, we will be updating the data as it pours in, up to March 31st to account for ALL activities, so that no one’s activities will be left out in the cold =) Thanks! PlayStation Rewards
Thats great news for those people that are so very close to reaching another status tier... My friend will be happy about that! 8)
