I suspect that this will be very exhausting mentally for the Japanese over a long long time.

Sendai is destroyed. There's no city left, just rubble. Water damage to the wood in building walls will mean nearly every structure will have to be bulldozed. Japan has a great economy, but also one of the highest national deficits. So that area of Japan will be devastated for a decade.

I don't think the recovery of New Orleans is complete yet.

It is a sad day for our friends in Japan. They need our support. The nuclear incidents are only adding to an already devastating catasrophe. It is hard to imagine just how bad it is there.

As I posted in the Chatbox shortly after the initial earthquake and before we had heard anything about the tsunamis. Our prayers and thoughts go out to all our friends in Japan and all affected areas.

I saw this thread in the Playstation Lounge forums at PSN:

    Irem Cancels Disaster Report 4

    Wow! That's fast work.

The one plus side of this is if your job is in the construction business, your going to be doing very well in the near future. So that's a good thing in a worldwide recession. And it will help the Japanese economy. Of course it's a given that their economy has took a very dire hit.

I had to do a double take. After seeing all the before and after photos previously, the bad kind, this was a big reversal!
