    Hi Everyone!XD

I'm trying to creat a SUPERHEROE SQUAD. My intention is to fight agains stalkers and abusive members. Our weapons are the PLAYSTATION HOME RULES & PROCEDURES and REPPORT.

In order to be part of this you just need to be my friend, create a cool and original superheroe name/outifit and, of course, the will of make HOME a better place to make good friends.

My superheroe's name is WISEWATCHER. Hope see you there!

    Best!;)

    EDTHRAWN.

Being a vigilante is not acceptable in any format. What makes you think your so special. That you can do start something like this? Once you get this posse together and start bullying people around. What separates you from the people your going to ride roughshod on? That why there are a system of rules in this world. The Home mods are the only peacekeepers needed in Home. So sit down shut up and mine your own business....

    Chill out man!
This is just a funny way to do what everybody can/must do! Report abusive persons and stalkers!
I think you're pissed because I had this idea before you... LOL

So... You sit down and shut up!!! Because I have the approval of some guys from Playstation Home.

Well... I´ll keep my eyes on you... LOL

I see Strider's point but I think he could have gone about making it differently, "Sit down and shut up" isn't exactly the best thing to add into a reply...

ED, I also understand why you would want to make a group like this to help out other people, but this somewhat borderlines impersonating officials if we're to go out and act as a sort of 'Home police'. Those are what Moderators for, they are the ones who go from space to space and simply watch and moderate what's going on.

As much as you want to help, we should leave it to them to do that and not us. If we're having problems with a user who is harassing, there isn't anything wrong with warning them about the TOS and the rules and reporting if need be, but going out and seeking out harassers....lets leave that to the Mods :p

Also, I want to add in that you wanted to "fight off stalkers and abusers". There will always be people like this in Home whether we see it or not, its the internet, there will ALWAYS be people causing trouble. There really isn't anything we can do to 'fight it off and end it', its something you have to accept with using the internet.

Why its nice you are wanting to help out the Home community, there is a number of things you need to keep in mind, 1 is like chad said, that is you can be walking a thin line of helping or actting as a mod would could get yourself banned.

Also groups of mates can also be joking around, what to passing by users might look like someone being bad, you could then wrongly report that person and get them banned for joking with mates.

Personally i have always taken the view that every user has been given the power to report a other and i feel that should be left up to the user thats being faced with abuse to if they report them or not.

    Dear KCChad,
Thanks for your intervention and wisely advices... But my intention is not create a "police" or being a menace... I think there are worst things in HOME. I'm just a member who is trying to create a health group of people in order to help those moderators... Where were the moderators when I saved a couple in Central Plaza yesterday? Where were the moderators when I saved kids with 9 and 10 years old from a abusive member last week? Sorry, but I do not agree when you say that it’s something we have to accept with using internet… We can fight back! We can do our best to keep HOME a safe place to everybody! Mostly kids!
Remember… Behind every avatar has a real person! Think about it friend!

And honestly if you have helped people already then that's good. From my standpoint though it seems to borderline Moderator actions even though your intentions are to only help people out. If a report were to be made on you and SCEA reviewed the case and saw what you were doing, they might think you were impersonating an official and lay down the ban hammer. SCEA won't understand that you're trying to be helpful and won't hesitate to suspend your account, I'm just giving you forewarning is all before someone makes that report and that happens.

You saved nobody. Guess what those people have an option to report and leave or just leave. Thats every bodies option in Home. Vigilantism in your case is a form of bullying. You want to be a deputy and use your rope on people. Good thing there's no trees you can hang people from in Home. When 3 people tell you your drunk its time for you to sit down.

Chad I choose my words very carefully. As you can see with this guys response. He's exactly as I described now can I tell him to shut up?

i can see both sides to this. 1) mods are rarely around, if they are around. where are they? 2) idiots will abound anywhere they can get. 3) not only have i stepped in to 'help' people after observing the convo, i have had to fend off morons that cant take 'no' for an answer. 4)ive reported many people for behavior that violated TOS and yet i know not if anything was done about those particular individuals. i, myself, tire of the lack of moderators in Home.

Thank you... I'll consider your words of advice! But I'll never stop fighting those pervs!
If SCEA ban me, it’s ok... But I'll ask SCEA about those mobster "families" that exist in HOME, just in order to humiliate some weak members.
I really appreciate your concerning! Hope be your friend in HOME. You'll understand better my actions.
    Best!
P.s: Now I understand why every superhero has a secret identity… lol

Hey man, stop with this aggressive behavior ok? Or I’ll start thinking that you're one of those pervs...
Here's a FORUM! A place to expose your ideas and learn with others. If you're not mature enough to this, please, just forget about this thread and go bullying anyone else, ok?

Some people can be supa nasty. Though I was really thankful on a couple occasions when others came to my assistance after griefers just wouldn't stop harassing, I still agree with Chad's thoughts on this overall. As much as I'd like to put on my Lara Croft or Wonder Woman outfits to make Home a better place, it's best to leave it to the professionals.

Strider you don't need my permission, I only said that because I know we can have an adult conversation here without any argumentative and non-civilized replies thrown back and forth at each other. What you said, to me, would have sparked an argument, we don't need that.

Oh I know what you mean, to be honest I haven't seen a moderator around in Home for quite some time. No white text, nothing...although we might note an absence of moderation, they're still out there. I think its best we let them do that sort of work rather than us is all. That's my two cents :p

Chad I was joking with you thats all. But with people like this you can not reason with them. They think they know it all and only they have the right answer. Take note at his pathetic response to me. He insinuate I'm a perv and I'm the bully here. It is his words that exposes his true motives...

Added note to the OP; I am a retired Police Officer. I know first hand what happens to people who take the law into their own hands. As a civilian you see a crime in progress you call 911. You do not put your batman cape on and foil the bad guys. That has very direr consequence's. So keep your immature remark for yourself...

Home doesn't need yet another user on a power trip. Sorry, but I'm not gonna mince words. I've seen far too many examples of this lately, and it's really getting tiresome. If I or anyone else sees someone in Home violating the TOS, we can fill out a report. We don't have to wear a superhero costume. We don't have to be your friend. If I see you or any of your superhero friends impersonating a Mod or other official I'll be filling out a report on you.

And just so you know, Chad is a former HCV. You should have listened to him the first time.

I think this is a thread best left to the NA Home forum. Unlike here, the official forums has official mods of Home who can add to the conversation. And this subject does involve the action of the moderation team. Even acting as a vigilante, you are just creating a report for the mod team to look at.

Speaking for myself, I'm against vigilante actions in Home. I think that too creates a bad environment.

I also believe that while I disagree with the original poster of this thread, I don't think that warrants any criticism of his character. I just think this suggestion is a bad idea.

I think the better solution is an avatar block feature. It's an idea several of us have brought up to the Home Managers, though it hasn't been implemented, and there are some that oppose the idea. But basically the concept is to give us a button that instantly removes the offender off our screen. He is still in the lounge, but he is gone off of our tv screen. And we should also disappear off his screen so he can't disgrace continue to abuse our avatar. We don't see that jerk, they don't see us. Problem solved instantly.
