being that i run 3 PS3 systems in my home and tried to go on home with 2 of them,what are the chances of the file sony forgot being the cause of this problem? thanks for your input in advance!
I think MusterBuster already established that it's not exactly "a file that Sony forgot" but rather a necessary interface application between your console savedata and Home. At any rate, to comment on your particular situation, if you are having issues I'd suspect you may be confusing the Home servers by signing onto the same userID account from with multiple consoles? If the usual delete & reinstall Home doesn't work to keep things stable, then I suggest keeping each profile localized to its own console and don't attempt to migrate (transfer the sign-in of) your account between consoles.
I still maintain it is the file they forgot. While it does hold necessary data pointers for your disc based game Home rewards, why couldn't that be sent to their servers along with everything else? Also, why is it that when deleted, (especially if its an old file) Home works better? Something is amiss here. The file has a use. Just not sure the operation of it has been updated properly.
Well they did say by moving homes data we will be able to go on home with diff systems. (Just saying it was said) like at a friends house. i never had this prob b4 they moved data. And I have burnt out my share of systems
Hands Karen the sonic screwdriver & the TARDIS keys, you go fix it I use 2 ps3's, multiple profiles on each and have no problems.
I deleted this file today. Mine was dated from 2008 (!). I dunno, I was hoping it would speed stuff up a little bit. It didn't really, but nothing really changed either...
Well as I come to the end of week 3 being frozen out of home I think this is good bye for good. I get no response from Dev's, maintenance sucks.........! All the time and money I put into this ×*^;# home beta and still after 3 weeks it is still frozen! How much patients are we supposed to exert b4 at the verry least get a response or probable fix date?
I share your pain. Getting technical problems resolved with Sony in regards to Home are not easy. Have you tried leaving a message here...... PlayStation®Home Support - PlayStation® Forums ?? If not do that. Give them as many details as possible and a history of all that has happened since your problem started. They are the only ones who can help you. The developers can't. Good luck. Hope you get it worked out.
