There will be Network maintenance on PlayStation Network - Monday 9th/Tuesday & 10th Dec between 16:00 and 00:00 GMT (that's 11am to 7pm EST) .
PSN had posted yesterday that today is maintenance from 9am to 4pm EST... nothing about tomorrow until normal update time.
I just went to Playstation store , it took a while to do anything, I thought my PS3 had frozen, then it closes and says I am signed out of psn. I go back into the Store, it asks me to log in & then it loads up
It's nearly 2:30a PST on Sat. 14th and Home is still closed for an extended maintenance which began around noon yesterday!?! So much for accomplishing anything today… Seems SCE is clueless as to when it's scheduled to end? This is apparently the maintenance originally scheduled for Dec. 12th (9:00a - 2:00p PST) which never occurred. Perhaps SCEE suddenly recalled that it was overdue this afternoon? Too bad Sony's "courtesy" post informing us of this rescheduling didn't occur until after the fact… and after users suddenly received the dreaded "Service Message of Dread". Sony had Home maintenance as planned on the Friday morning. Home is down now due to Sonys mistake with a passed update, where if you reinstalled Home on the XMB, it would download and install the Dev version of Home, giving the public access to Home's Dev tool's.
As always, many thanks for the info… it's appreciated! An interesting bit of "oops!" was made I see. I didn't realize there'd even been a quick update earlier yesterday. Until the extended network meltdown, that is. (I do occasionally require a bit of that sleep nonsense. Such a time waster…) I suppose that means Thursday's maintenance wasn't truly forgotten — the unintended update delay/disaster just took an extra day of code-cooking! If I knew Dev was open I would've gone in and designed that black sectional couch Ive been wanting. LOL
Dev tools, don't let you make things btw, you can just play about with some settings and swap regions you load into and that. Biggest problem is likely the fact it gives access to regions outside of your PSN ID region.
