I suppose it is necessary to purchase either the yo-yo,sword or rod to fight the ogres? No exception we might have received earlier, such as the wooden sword?
It would be near impossible to beat them with the bamboo sword. The other weapons work fine but the rod works the best.
Lol it's not just "near impossible" to beat the mononoke game with the bamboo sword, it actually is impossible. There's a 4-candle time limit to wipe out all monsters, and the bamboo sword only does 5 damage. I think madman did some experiments awhile ago and required over 130 strokes to defeat a single cyclops? You always run out of time and the game ends when you're using the bamboo only. The only way anyone can play the game with the bamboo sword would be in group play, and even then, you'd win only a few dozen ryo points per game if you killed everything you could kill with bamboo...
You don't have to wipe out all the monsters, only the bosses. But you won't earn many points doing so.
So has anyone completed this in JP with just the purple sword? I tried only once last night and it seemed like it might be pretty rough without buying the new weapon. @ Lunar--when you say bosses which ones do you mean?
Hopper, whenever the game starts it states the Mission Objectives that need to be completed within the time limit. As I understand it, the monsters that are mission-targeted are the bosses. Audlux posted in the NA forums the following reward items from this game: 1. Lucky Thick-rolled Sushi (Furniture) 2. Hannya Mask (Accessories) * 3. Red Oni Mask (Men/Women) 4. Oni Clothes (Men, Outfit) 5. Oni Bikini (Women, Outfit) 6. Shining Double Oni Horn (Short, Purple, Men/Women) 7. The Oni Tea Pot ** -Note: not the actual name. 8. Hanging Calligraphy Scroll (" MADE YOU LOOK ")** -Note: not the actual name 9. ? 10. ? 11. ? Well how do you actually get these items? Are some of them rewarded at the start of the game, or do they require exchange for ryo points as usual with the Time Turner old lady? Also... What? NA Home is not receiving the 3900 ryo sword? I know you posted that back on Tuesday before the update, faga, so if someone can go check in NA to see what items have been added and/or REMOVED from the Time Turner old lady's inventory, I'd really appreciate that. (Can't access the PS3 for another 2 weeks or I'd check myself). I wanted the Edo mini open houses so hopefully those are still there. But I've been saving up ryo to get the cool-looking Muramasa sword so why the heck would Gz remove it from the published update...
What would make this "event" even better is if the space would load properly and the HDD would ever stop spinning so I could access my navi to get the hell out of there if I want to. Ahh the limitations of "gaming" in Home--such fun.
I think the ranking system goes by if you reach a certain rank before, like let's say 9th place but got shot down later on, you will still get the tiger bike at the end of the event.
No, that's not the order. Rewards are a few horns (one to two horns), ogre mask, hannya mask, a scroll, edo-maki sushi roll, oni male loincloth, oni female bikini, and the oni teapot. My HDD crashed like 3 times and started auto repairing. I only get scores that I previously had when I look into the ranking board after each game. It's getting weird. EDIT: It fixed itself somehow after I turned it off before bedtime. I'm hating the jumps between Edo and Mononoke already.
To anyone that bought the new rod: How is it? Is the attack really that slow and do you think it's worth the money?
It is quite slower so you would have to adjust your play style, but it's quite effective, an extra bonus is that it gives an extra 20% demon points.
I just wished the ranking system rewarded players that had reached a certain rank than having just to have players troll other players for the top 10 for the whole month. Oh well, it's just rewards. @Hopper: I have tried the Muramasa sword, and you can run a bit faster, but even though the weapon is high it takes a few hits to finish some ogres off. Not to mention, using the highest defense samurai armor (the one included with the eyepatch, I forgot the whole name), it reduces to 20 & it doesn't bulk up too high when using a defense potion - only by 2 lousy points. Plus the health bar gradually goes down a bit fast. As for points rewarded, you earn a x1.0 multiplier, so killing all of them would net you 500 some points a play.
Well, some people can rearch such extreme high score, and you may think it doesn't made any sence. It just reminds me the south park, an episode about world of warcraft. Well, why so serious ? it is just a game. Enjoy and Play.
Well, I am not sure, the reason for people buying the metal rod. Maybe it's about bud attack as you've seem it from GZ promo video. I am sure that really hurt. :eve:
It reminds me more on anime stuff, and it makes a great clothing accessory, particularly for females. XD
