Hi all, With luck after typing this it will post Anyway wanted to welcome you all back and let ou know what happened over the last few days. Basically to sum it up, both the servers hard drives went bad, we use a RAID set up that means one drive is a clone of the other, this helps speed up the site and helps if one breaks you got a full working copy still. Problem is both of them broke! We also have a backup drive that makes backup's, again the problem here is it seems the latest few back up's was bad, likely due to the drives already failing, after trying time and time again, the latest back up's just was not going to work. So we have had to roll back to 31st October 2012 to get the latest working back up that would install. I would like to take a min to say sorry for the data lose and also sorry to them new members that joined after the 31st Oct back up who will now have to sign up again. As of right now some parts of the site still need to be back updated, and systems we added after 31st Oct added back. Other areas still need to be restored and then made up to date. Not really much else to say apart from as a community we can all help to recover what was lost and make things even better than before. Last up, Sorry.

Woohoooo! I knew you would do it, although I was getting a bit concerned about not being to in the shoutbox anymore. Good work Carla and I'm sorry about what happened. I'm glad you didn't just throw everything out the window, but I bet you came close. As for me getting whipped for any of it, I offer this: Glad it all worked out and Happy Holidays!!
Well i think everything is working again, just need to get things back up to date, let me know if any problems anywhere.
For a while I thought it was some kind of prank because of the "end of the world" and stuff, you even put an ascii logo but then days passing by and the situation remained that's when I figured it wasn't a prank, wish it was actually. It's nice to see it raising again

Sorry FF i worked for days with almost no sleep to try and fix it fully but it would just not work. I have lost 2 months of site work also but its up to us all to right it and make it better
I appreciate all your work. I understand how hard it is to recover a double raid failure. Happened to me before. Made some gorgeous Firefly icons that were lost due to my own double raid failure a few years ago. And to be honest, what I lost doesn't compare to the work you guys have ahead of ya. So it's best to be humble about it and realize, now I know how to make it better. ^^;
