Morning all! Sorry I have been absent for a few days. Have been working away from the office without great access! So, Today we will be unveiling a walkthrough video for Blueprint: Home over on our YouTube channel. It's 9 minutes long but takes you from beggining to end of creating a few apartments and how things work in Blueprint so hopefully you will see exactly how it works before it is released and it will allow you to make an informed decision when deciding to Purchase, or not..! BB, you are the first person to vocally mention they aren't overly happy with the price, we have done quite a lot of work at looking into pricing structures for apartments and tried to apply that to Blueprint. I can understand some peoples thoughts that there are going to be lots of packs and that could equal lots of money, but I've been really keen to try and get all the information relating to Blueprint out there, before release, again so you can see exactly what is coming up and so we aren't dropping things on you last minute. I think the best thing to do is to watch the walk through video later (we will also have a fully localised Japanese version for those of you who speak and read Japanese) and come back with any questions then.
Loved the Sodium 2 reward outfits so much, I decided to use a similar style for a character design. Hope you like it. 博文配图_PaulRockets_新浪博客
Greetings. Since my Japanese wife and I only use JP Home, I had planned to ask if/when Blueprint: Home would come to JP. But I am glad to I didn`t have to, since it was included in the resent update. Since my Japanese reading skills aren`t as good as I`d like them to be, I was worried if I would have trouble using Blueprint: Home while it was in total Japanese. However, after watching that YouTube video once I totally understood how to use the program. In other words, that video was very helpful, as well as the fact that Blueprint is very easy to use. I didn`t have any problem with the 800yen price tag. However, I didn`t see any add on packs I'd be interested in buying at the moment. Although, I`d also buy a Japanese castle/town theme day one. There is something that kinda bothers me and I don`t think anyone has touched on it yet. The sound fx. While they are good, they repeat to often. Added to the fact that it sounds like there is one 1 or 2 different sound fx used .. it could drive someone batty. If you could both add more sound fx and randomize the time between each one plays I think that would do the trick. And/or add an way to simply turn them off. You could also try having the sound fx only play if you walk near the edge of the map. I would like to see a lot more item packs. But since you can`t interact with them, I would avoid making any more chairs, sofas, etc. Rather, add items that no one would expect to move. Trees, special tiles, weapon racks, etc. If you can somehow sneak some modern firearms past the Japanese (like what was done at the Midway), I`d be most pleased. Also, what about adding a nighttime sky? I don`t see myself buying another skyline otherwise. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Odd. I tried to last post, but an error message kept poping up. So I broke down and bought the sky rise BG and the school texture pack. They are both really good. Although, not being able to put anything on the desk and table was a bummer. Can you shave off the collision on top of both of them? In other news, I might have found a work around for the 'corner collision' issue. It seems as though, then you make a new room next to the room you want to items in, the collision in the 1st room's corners will be removed. This is a really helpful trick I think. Also, the more rooms you make, the more the building meter goes up. So its not the sizes of the rooms, but simply the number of them. Anyways keep up the good work, nDreams.
For tricky corner placements, change the room style to minimalist brick, place the item in the corner, then change the style back.
Love Blueprint. But is it like... "Hey, look at the numbers. Lots of people bought the space. The packs have been selling a lot. Let's charge a ton for the pack with gold stuff in it! That's what everyone on Home does!" Boo. Boooo. Can't / won't buy the last pack. The phrase that comes to mind is "price gouging," but that's hardly the correct term. Don't get me wrong. The contents of the pack are very nice. But Jesus freaking Christ nDreams. Really? The pack costs more than the space lol. A lot of devs are doing this lately, and it's driving me away from purchases on Home. Or, at least speaking with my wallet, e.g. not supporting a dev who jacks prices by simply not buying their products anymore. :/ Still <3 nDreams. Hope my post isn't just dismissed cuz it's not falling all over myself with empty praise like a lot of posters do. :x
Streetmoves2 will come this weeks update! Chameleo furniture that cycles through set colors so they are always changing,(side note) you aren't able to set the furniture color yourself. this looks pretty cool!
I would really like to get this Blueprint, just waiting for a bonus or something in my paycheck, not to say I'm unhappy with the price, its just a bit much in Chinese RMB.
Hey Guys and girls! Sorry I've been absent, very, very busy! I come with goodies though, well, an announcement trailer for our next big project release -
Also, A quick thing about the Bling Pack. It's expensive, not everyone is going to like it but it sells, it sells better than I ever thought it could before I started this job and we need to continue to release things people will buy. Again, not everyone is going to want to pay that for a Bling Pack but a lot of people do so we have to offer that. There are plenty of other packs at varying prices to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to own them. So hopefully we cater to everyone, those who have loads of money and those who need to be more "considered" with their spending. Joey
This is a good explanation and a good point There are packs with Blueprint that have low prices and high prices, This will normally depend on the content included (As it does) The Gold stuff in Home (i.e. Bling pack) are always more expensive because they are the 'elusive' packs. and like Real life, this is aimed at the richer people. In my opinion I don't think its fair complaining about 1 pack when the rest are reasonably priced. Don't like it, Don't buy it. Simple solution
It seems that there is more of a response from the devs here than on the official PlayStation forums. So I would like to mention that I have purchased Blueprint Home and I do enjoy the flexibility in the space. But I am a little upset that when I purchased I did so with the first two set of themes and went in to start building but my Aurora theme is not showing on my workbench, my other themes showed up just not that one. I am a huge fan of Aurora and would like to build a custom space to display my Aurora rewards, using the Aurora theme. It displays in my rewards list and even in my services. I even checked to see if I had to activate it in my services but there was no option to do so. I would like to purchase more themes, but refuse to do so until it shows up. If anyone can help me rectify this, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and a suggestion. If at all possible I would like to see, in a future update, the ability to mix the floors, walls and ceilings between packs in a single room.
Hey K_Flynn, Just to make sure, you did go to the Blueprint: Home Table in Home Square / Home Plaza and get the message that says you have unlocked the Aurora environment? If so, when you clikc Environments within Blueprint it is the very last environment to the right, even past the locked ones that you may not have purchased. Let me know if you can't find it on the back of this. Joe
Thanks Joey! I appreciate the prompt response. I will definitely check tonight when I log in and let you know. And again thank you.
was at an impromptu gathering this evening with Vee, and I must say the beatbox stereo and shimmer sphere are really good.
Thanks Sam, We are realy happy with how they turned out. Obviously with BoxBeats, if it is supported there's the possibility of other genres etc.
At the end of the day it´s up to us what type/quality of content do we want to see in home by supporting the Developer´s work buying their stuff. I guess it is not always if you are "RICH" person or not, it´s about what you like and how do you like It´s not the same if you buy a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 or a Ferrari F458; both are cars, both can take you from point A to point B but at the end of the day it´s up to you which one do you want and why. I like both but it is not the same quality and technology that each has on it.
