Don't take my word on this but they said they're working on 3 titles. 1 PS3/PSN, 1 Vita, 1 unknown (smartphone app?). The PS3/PSN title seems to be a shooter (R-type kind of game), Vita seems to be a mystery adventure visual novel, 3rd title is completely unknown. No plans on any PSP games at this time.
A while ago people were wondering if Tokyo Jungle was good or not. Since I bought it day one, I thought I`d post my two cents. Its a fun game. Odd thing is that arcade mode is the main mode, while story mode has to be unlocked by playing aracde mode many times over. You have to find and pick up an icon that wil unlock a new act of story mode. If you don`t see this item, then you simply can`t unlock it. And since it seems to appear randomly.. you`ll be playing arcade mode a lot. But other then that its an very enjoyable game. Knowing Japanese would be very helpful, but you can do without it. Heck my 3 year old daughter, playing as the robot dog, does very well. lol The game also has co-op. But its strange in that its not online, or lan, or even spilt screen. Its single screen co-op and player 1 controls the scrolling of the screen. If both of the players aren`t vocal while playing, co-op can be a pain to play. (One example is player two trying to fight or eat an animal, while player one tries to run off screen. Player two will be dragged away from the animal in the direction that player one is moving. Which can be very very annoying. So good teamwork is needed for co-op.) The game it`s self is rather cheap. Less then half the price of a normal Japanese ps3 release. But where they get you is the DLC. 1/4 or 1/3 of the animals can only be unlocked if you buy them in the playstation store. Most are 100yen but some of them can be up to 300yen. Anyways, its still a good game. But I heard it was going to get relased in the states someday so it might be wise to wait til then if you were interested in buying it.
Bon Odori Festival today! Don't forget to stock up on yen and buy some limited items that you'd want to buy, plus exclusive rewards. This also includes Sony Japan's Bon Odori set. There's also a firework event in Home Square which will give out a reward for those that watch the fireworks display located at the waterfront behind the Game Center. Not to mention, GAW Theater space should be open too, so if you'd bought one of the jackets from the anime event, do so now to watch anime episodes 2-5! ^^ There's also 700 yen costumes from the anime to purchase, PLUS it gives you a bonus for fishing with it on the GAW space. Also available is Blueprint: Home.
Looks like Japan Home Square will be repeating Irem Squares fireworks event, even stating the clothing from 2010 (though no longer available to purchase) will work with special effects
Thx Recca and Rachel -always appreciate the info. I'm having trouble keeping up lately, but these events sound good. Do you know if the 700 yen jacket is required to watch the episodes beyond #5? I never even got the first one--is that still for sale? ugh. oh also...does the 700 yen one allow you to watch 2-5 as well? Sorry for all the questions.
Actually they are costumes from the characters in the anime that are on sale and give a bonus while fishing. You may be cute in one of those Hopper. They are selling last years clothing as well along with this years in the sale tab on the navi. After a morning enjoying the festival in Granzella I can't even sign in now due to a DSN error, I've tried all means to get back on but my console can't get back on the system.
The jackets are 400, not 700 - those are the costumes. You only need one of the 400 yen jackets to watch episodes 2-5. It's still unexplained how to watch 6-12 yet. I'm tempted to buy all 3 costumes from that anime. ^^ I believe it is still on sale. Just check the men's/women's tab under the Shop icon and find the anime tab.
Ok thx Recca and Steve--do you get that reward for watching episodes 2-5? @Steve--I'm not sure how to feel about you thinking I would look "cute" in one of the new costumes. Handsome maybe? lol I was able to get into JP Home for about 30 seconds earlier today before I got booted and couldn't get back in, so I havent't been able to see any of the new stuff. oh and also--I figure I may as well continue making an ass out of myself with more questions since that's all I seem to do when it comes to JP Home... Does anyone know the schedule for the fireworks shows? Does anyone know if there any rewards from the Obon(?) festival? If I can think of anymore questions in the next few minutes I will be sure to post them.
No, I think you would look Kawaii. The board behind the bowling alley has a schedule and it will start friday.
Hops, if you just want to watch the anime, you can watch it on hulu.com. It's free and subtitled in english.
ok thx--see how I play this game now? One answer leads to another question lol soooo 6 am EST on Fri. I think I heard earlier today, but there will be others? oh wait sorry--I have a better way to play the game now.....I can just go look now that I can actually get on Home! wahooo how brilliant is that? @ff--thx for the info.
I think the fireworks "game' in home square will just work like the one at Irem Square in 2010, we have the same special effects thing going on with the same sparkler again fingers crossed there's a reward this time (remember we only got a high enough "score" on very last scheduled event last time )
If you have the free white yukata from Irem square that will make your sparkler change color in the plaza, I don't know if any other old ones have effect too
In Home Square's firework show, they'll be giving out the fox masks and the Bon Odori fans as rewards from the picture.

Some reward discoveries: Get yourself some kappa doll rewards from the shooting gallery, then buy the cheese bait from GAW (if you haven't already) and play the fishing game and get a XL or XXL mouse. Then talk to the umbrella ghost from the old GAW fishing space and he'll tell you to go take a picture in Edo. Take a picture from the photo booth there (you'll need a GZ ticket), and you'll get a picture frame reward when you get in. I think there's something going on in Mononoke on August 22nd, but not entirely sure from what the umbrella ghost is saying, but that's just it. The scythe unlocks the devil list in L Project. Not sure if it has other abilities too as in increasing chances to get the weapons.
Does anyone know if is actually possible to create the level 31 material or higher ones without using green potions? I've tried combining the 5 level 27 materials and nothing seems to go further than 27
No you just need to take the picture from the booth at the festival, that was the first thing I did yesterday morning and got the frame without doing any of the other things at all mentioned. There are two new rewards in GAW, an eggplant and cucumber display item. ^^
