Can you believe there is someone at Sony who sees that video when it's done and says "yep, perfect--go ahead and release it now"? lol Looks like those people are seeing Jo's naked avi for the first time.
After working many gaming conventions, I can say those faces are fairly accurate. Seriously, you'd think it was xmas morning. I've seen people actually cry when playing a demo at the booths.
Novus-Cooldown left this response on the ps blog. "Hellfire Games has a BIG announcement lined up for the Virtual E3 2012 booth next week — stay tuned!"
Don't forget to purchase the limited edition E3 Lockwood items at the x7 Club! Male and female gold mechjet robots ($9.99 each!), 2 gold robot companions ($2.99 each), and the Kiburi the Lion companion ($2.99)! ^^
Unless you're not "exclusive" enough to get into X7 lol They will just keep trying to get people to buy things that they don't want just to access that dump. I was kind of let down that Lockwood would help them push the nonsense that X7 is, but I guess nothing should surprise me anymore when it comes to Home. No, I am not quite dumb enough to buy a tacky suit, a mansion or buy a subscription to PS+ just to get a gold mechjet, lion companion or Sodium companions....or anything else offered there for that matter. Nice try though Lockwood.
I really enjoyed the environment they provide for the 2011 as well as the rewards doing some simple activities. I hope this year they provide even more interactivity as well as grander rewards
No doubt. For me, it isn't about not being able to spend the money as much as it is slap in the face that someone who just signed onto PSN yesterday and got PS+ can access a space that someone who has supported Home since its inception can't....just because they have made a choice to not purchase particular things. Personally, I never bought any of the required exclusive items in the first place because they're not my thing, are over-priced for a virtual world and I knew I would never use any of them. I tried PS+ as well, for 3 months, and didn't get a lot out of it so no need to renew that either. I have never given into blatantly disingenuous and underhanded marketing techniques with any company and am sure not going to start now. No way I'm going to buy any of those things now (like a whole lot of people did after saying they wouldn't) just because they would get me into the place.....no matter what free items or "exclusives" they offer. This is just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone who does have access. To each their own--that's what it's about. sorry--took the thread off-topic a bit. E3 should be cool to see this year.
The Exclusives Are Neat .. The Lion Is Big But Not Really That Impressed With It :eh: If I Had To Choose Between That Gold Mechjet Or Say Maybe The Mechjet In The Gift Machine .. I'd Rather Go For The Gift Machine; It Looks Way Better And Has A Color Scheme To It I Still Like My Velociraptor And Iguana Companions ;D
looks like the way some home developers are getting in on the E3 action on home is by releasing exclusives limited items, hopefully we get rewards like the coffee table and sofa from two years ago, last years rewards havent seen outside my storage box
This sounds an awful lot like whining. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Heaven forbid a business offer perks to members who pay for premium services/content without giving everyone else something for free. By the way, the Lockwood exclusives are in the PREVIEW section of the X7 store, meaning they'll likely be out the following week for everyone else to purchase. Blaming Lockwood for having their content in X7 is unwarranted, they are a business, something that obviously a lot of "customers" have forgotten.
Looking his points, he has valid reasons to "whine", the "perks" that are given for x7 are absolute shit. Lockwood needs to stop making this garbage.
Are you kidding? X7 is a PERK on its own, a BONUS space for having purchased content. If you bought something specifically to get access to it, that's your problem. Apparently, a lot of people think the "perks" of x7 should be free items, whereas the real bonus is getting access to a functional, populated club scene, where the free items are just another bonus. Additionally, what "garbage" are you accusing Lockwood of making?
No not whining big guy--just stating what my opinion is and why I won't buy something that I won't ever use just to gain access. Lockwood is helping to promote X7 plain and simple. They certainly have the right to do that but I don't have to agree with it. I've been in Home since the start so no need to talk about having to buy "premium" services or content either. I just don't agree with the marketing tactic and won't fall for it. Simple--no need for more responses. Just get back to talking about E3 in this thread.
Oh, I understand the concept. It's just that, I see the current stuff that they're giving away as garbage, nothing truly worthy of buying. I see the majority of Lockwood's material as skimpy trash. Anyways, I hope Konami brings Metal Gear material to E3!
"Embark upon a quest hosted by Christina Lee where you will check out the newest PlayStation games, unlocking tons of exclusive content from the top titles that will be showing on the floor. Collect them all to gain access to the VIP area, where you can get hands-on with an unreleased game and get access to even more PlayStation content." I think they might be exaggerating. Chances are, it'll be a handful of items. Lol.
