I'm not sure, but I thought I had heard that a ban on the EU forums could result in a PSN ban? Perhaps Carla could tell us.
I read Amir's post as well and it's just ridiculous how things are turning out... I've already said what I could there, and I'm trying not to get vulgar here... Just, whatever is going on there needs to stop. It's self destructive. I don't care if they're just doing their job, they can see what they're doing, unless they're either choosing to turn the other cheek and ignore it or they just really are blind to what's happening.
Any ban on the forums, regardless if its EU or NA, shouldn't also get your PSN account banned as well, that's simply ridiculous. I hope this isn't true...
from what i have read in Amir's post earlier that the edit feature that they have set up right now we should not be using and that cause he was a respected memeber of the forums that he got just a warning instead of a perma ban. now that would suck if you just registered to those forums and found that feature and got perma ban for it. shoot it would make me nervous to get on there myself now cause i have not been able to post there in awhile and that i don't have no where near the amount of post he does.
It wasn't the edit feature itself that got him into trouble, it was other things connected to the edit feature. He's not being entirely honest.
A forum ban will not result in a PSN or Home ban. I know a number of people who have been banned from the forums for over a year and who still have their Home accounts. I do believe that if you are banned from home that may very well apply to the forum as well. Those who have received home bans and who are also forumers could better answer the later question. Joanna
It is also interesting to see that they have upgraded the forums today at PlayStation.com . You now have a mark all threads read option, grayed text for threads that have been read, an updated icon to show that new posts are now present in a thread. Sadly they still don't have a way to go to the last unread post in a discussion. At least it's a step forward.
I kept wondering where you were seeing these things, then realized I'd been logged in at least all day. Logged out, logged back in, *now* I see them. They must be burning the midnight oil. I guess the new problems that have been discovered have lit a match under their feet.
well that is good they are making some procress . Aet even if it is only a certin part of the edited feature that he got in trouble for it is still the fact that we can access it is troubling to me. why should we have access to something that could get us perma banned if we use it. unless ofcourse we are not meant to and it is another one of those bugs they need to fix lol.
*hands crow a cookie* Exactly. It's something that ordinary users aren't supposed to have access to, and why the Jive software allows it is beyond me. My only explanation is that the people over at Jive must all be on drugs. But Amir isn't an ordinary user and he should have known to talk to the mods first before doing anything.
lol thanks for the cookie yea that is true, but it does make you wonder how many other things there you have access to that you shouldn't.
Really it just highlights more flaws with the Jive software, letting you by pass one system by using a other. Jive is like a car with buttons everywhere for fancy systems but you can not find how to start it, making all the fancy stuff pointless.
yea but while you are trying to find the button to start the car you end up hitting the wrong one and blow somthing up lol
Well 4th email sent to Sony Support... Ok... Im not sure how this issue is being changed into issues its not. But, I'll try again for a fourth time. I was banned/suspended from the Playstation Forums because I openly pointed out how many violations of Sonys TOS the moderator Mohawktown has commited. I was given NO email of why I was banned/suspended or the duration... My personal information has NO bearing on why this happened... As it is I'm being forced to notify alot of 3rd parties who asked me to use the forums SINCE the ban and tell them Sony forum moderators are blindly banning people with no reason and asking for alternate methods to file my reports for them. So, I am asking as its going beyond 2weeks now with NO response from the moderators. And, yes I've had friends send them messages asking 'why and how long' and are being purposely IGNORED... Either lift this ban so I can comply with the request of the 3rd parties I'm assisting. or I will begin calling into Sony support and requesting managment or seek assistance from Legal aide... because this ban is becoming nothing more than a personal attack from an employee in SONY who knew they broke the rules and are seeking to cover it up. I hope someone can be of assistance because this is getting tedious...this is now my 4th email trying to get the same issue resolved now going on almost as long as my ban itself... Thank You
yes.. but you know i saw.. people in the forums calling the mods nazi.. putting swatzikas up... etc.. and i dont see them being banned and i think their posts are still up? -.- So why did mohawk ban me other than I said in PM he's got a double standed "i can break rules but you cant" even if they fix the forums bug list.. the mods for the most part are a$$'s
Well, they're still calling them Nazis. There's a comment like that on the forums right now and no one has deleted it.

Now could they, probably if they wanted to. Would they, I hope not because that would give some all the more reason not to participate here. Why risk home or PSN game access by expressing your mind here in this forum. That would be ridiculous in my view. On a side note she has yet to be told how long her ban is and she has emailed a number of times without any reply. That is totally unacceptable. At the least if you are banned you should be told specifically why and for how long.
