With no more then 2 months, their have been a total of 5 maintenance periods for a full day, it is time to ask yourself, why so many with in a 2 month spam, and why is it take them a full day and why take the enitre network down. Out of all the problems that Sony PSN has had, and with the hacking that happened and they claimed they restructered their network? Well you'd think they would have less down time and assume their network would be more stable. Well it's not, in fact, its worse. When I first bought my PS3 PSN worked flawlessly, ever sence the hacking, it's never been right. Now I have been more then understanding with the PSN network team/security, but I am loosing faith in them really fast, and annoyed by them period. I am a MCSE 15 plus years, and of all the jobs and networking I have done in my time, I can tell you, not once, ever, I (we) never had to take the entire network down. In fact the only logical reason to take a network down, is if its being hacked, ddosed in some way. So must ask yourselves this question, are they really doing maintenance? or are they in fact being attacked yet again, and dont know how to fight it, and rather just take down the servers.
playstation said they postponed the update for thursday on there twitter. they also said they would let everyone know when it is happening

What are you talking about, there has been no 24 PSN shutdowns. At least I haven't had any. The maintenance periods usually last between 6 to 8 hours, but that's nothing new. When Home is under maintenance I hit up Games that I haven't finished leveling up, such as Assassin's Creed Revelations Multiplayer, but that works just fine. Maybe its your internet connection.
You're welcome.. and you're right these maintenance are quite annoying. Especially when they don't tell you the reason for the maintenance.
usually you can no problems, maintenance wise it never seems to solve issues we can see, UFC , waterfall terrace, boot leggers, the countless amount of hi score boards that dont work, war hawk apartment game, to name a few, currently most spaces seem so fragile, with little or nothing being done to solve it, its terrible when you think I really cant go there for fear of something bad happening to either you or a friend or having no point to go there because its broken anyway, id let them shut it for a week if I thought it would be near perfect when it went back on, The maintenance you cant see I suppose is the worst, because probably to stop home being hacked etc
The Online Will Work Fine, You Can Get Your Trophies And All .. Its Just That Home And PSN Store Will Be Offline.
Ya by all means guys, I am not trying to flame or troll PSN, PSH or Sony for that matter, and don't take it the wrong way. It just would be nice to really fully understand whats really going on with the network itself. I stand corrected, it's more of a 14 hour period on a full maintenance. I only question it, and like most of us, we have, or should have the right to know what really is going on. This here, it isn't home at all, this is the entire network along with everything related to it. Now one must question, whats really going on behind closed doors. Now by all means I am no Xbox fan boy, but I know a few that own them, and you must admit with that said, and have been told, its rare their network ever goes down. So I just question the fact.
the only time xbox went down was christmas 2008 alot of people got xbox and i could not sign in but xbox did give me a free game
sounds like an emergency maintenance. maybe hardware failure. who knows. but be honest, it's really annoying.
It gets really annoying when im in the mood just to get online and the little error shows up saying there is maintenance, it always tends to spoil the happy moment of me getting on

Another 14 hour day long maintenance. And on a Sunday? Durning peek times when most families are home. Wow. See what I mean. Something isn't right to me.
These constant upates are probably because of the ps vita. Dont wory. I hope an update for cross play with ps3 games!
Hmmmm..... this is odd.... I can log in with my main account, but the others say i need the master account to approve the terms of service for the other accounts. But the main account won't let me into account administration. I'm just posting this incase anyone else is having problems. I don't want them to think they are the only one. I hope this clears up when psn maintenance is over.
occasionally have problems logging in with one account and when I log in with other account, because I friended myself I can see that the other accounts psn avatar has gone to default very weird dont happen enough to be bothered really, big question is have I won a female hockey helmet again lol
