I think there actually is wiggle room for a good lawyer in the Home TOS (the way I see it and I sure am no attorney)....they refer to "loss of data, content, function or utility" as it relates to "modifications". I don't see anything in the TOS that would cover them for selling defective content outright. This space was a bad, bad idea idea for NA Mgt. to accept in the first place.

"PlayStation®Home is in beta. From time to time during the beta we may modify PlayStation®Home and related content, services and software automatically and without notice. Modifications may cause loss of data or content and loss of function or utility. You hereby authorise us to make all such modifications and agree that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss of data, content, function or utility."

I don't really see anyone getting a lawyer to fight for $7 (maybe class-action if anything), but someone could, based on principle and to effect change going forward. Who knows? I'm just glad I didn't make a donation to Veemee on this one....and I'm sorry for those who did.

I meant "upstart" relative to the gaming/console industry. Most every developer making content for Home now (with the exception of a couple) are what I would consider to be upstarts. I know that I had never heard of most of them before Home came into existence.

I would consider those "modifications" to be things like removing the ability to furnish the Salt Shooter space, adding the cars to the mansion garage without notice or changing the seating around to accommodate the EOD screens. Selling a product that does not function properly out of the gate has to be a different issue. As you said, Sony can try to wiggle anyway.

Lawyers and class action suits certainly seem to be excessive here. I still think that a bank would get their customer a refund fairly quickly if a credit card was used for the purchase. Banks usually take care of their clients far more willingly than Sony with regards to a problem like this one.

Hey everyone! We have been working closely with VeeMee on fixing the Go Fish! space and minigame. I am happy to announce that a fix is coming very very soon to alleviate many of the issues. This has been a top priority for VeeMee and we all thank you for your patience with this. Stay tuned for a date on when this fix will be coming! Thanks!

ive never had a problem with a refund if anything ive found its sony customer service perfered method , when ive reported something wrong generally it takes a couple of days, after saying have you tried all the standard repairs clearing cache etc, but in most cases they come back after probably not looking at it and give a refund, but will not refund anything that works that you brought to go with it, so if you brought ufc you would probably get a refund on it, but not on all the ufc furniture you brought to match it

It's mind-boggling that they didn't offer the space for sale with the Robo-goalie game and then offer to sell the other games as upgrades for a couple dollars each. That would be a sensible incentive program for buying a personal space. Much more reasonable than all the incentives being illogically tied to the mansion and affecting otherwise unrelated spaces.
