I've noticed a few people in Asia Home wearing a little snowman head item - does anyone know where they are getting this?
The snowman one was from Christmas of 2009, given in the Irem Spelunker space to celebrate Christmas. By the way, I've gotten the last two Hagoita paddles today, so I think you guys can collect all of them simply by not pressing X on the community message before going into Home Square. Just wait until the entire HDD icon completely vanishes and check it out on your PDA. Also, try to quit and reload Homeif it doesn't work, but it should net you all of them without hassle.
You probably need to finish any quest to receive the hagoitas. I can confirm with 3 people that have received it as soon as they finished or quit the quest they were on. (2 were having trouble going pass the barrels)
That's good to know, Faga. Everyone, please do the quests now and finish them if you haven't. If you have done so, and you still didn't get them, then it might have been a bug that HK Sony has mentioned about. Hopefully, it'll be fixed by Thursday and word will come out until then to get all 4 hagoitas.
Oh freaking great. :yucky: Is this the reason why so many people are missing rewards like the PSHome Animated SnowGlobe from The Hub in NA or Wonderland rewards from Home Square? Just because having an Active Quest can interfere with the reward unlock. Terrific. Another thing that we suspect is that if you are told to visit the Activity Board for a reward like the Customizable Tree but you've just activated a Companion like the Penguin, you might not receive the scheduled reward. It's because having the Companion out is hijacking the available memory needed to register your Tree reward. Obviously if these issues exist, they'll have have an impact on any Home that uses the Activity Board (EU, NA, Asia Home).
The problems that most people are having could be solved by being patient and waiting for the HDD to finish it's loading, I just sat at each location till I knew the loading between tasks was done and actually got most of the quests done quickly. I have all of the items with nothing missing on 6 accounts because I was patient with the lag and loading, now if they fix the EU quests it will be my last 2 accounts to do.
I try and never do the same reward twice unless im really really really bored or the reward is extremely good, might help cut down the wait time if people that got multiple accounts didnt do every reward going with eight different accounts, how sad is someone to sit there in front of they ps3 and think ill spend 2 hours on home repeating the same task several times, I go to work the repeat the same task multiple times.
Well actually the missing items I was thinking of, had to do with missing Community Theatre rewards or when you get multiple Hub rewards all at once (in NA Home, not Asia Home). The HDD doesn't come up at all when it's supposed to. But yes the Activity Board has issues with HDD writes which are actually very serious in terms of lag. When a space is very busy, and the server is under heavy user load, the chances of someone losing a newly-earned item is almost guaranteed if he or she changes spaces, or quits Home, within 25 seconds of receiving a reward.
If your on an active quest and your stuck for a while with no change you can go back to the activity board and de-select the quest and start over, even though you have some of the items you'll be able to go back between each point and re-register the tasks to move on to the next part. I did this by accident a few times while going to read the activity board during a quest, it didn't move any faster but I was able to complete the tasks no problem and get all of the rewards.

Is there gonna be any Lucky Sets going on soon over there? I mean, Chinese New Year will be on Jan. 23rd, and they always celebrate that time with newer random stuff, plus the zodiac shirt.
Yeah this year is the Dragon, so if they do something with that could be really cool. Two weeks to go for New Years. My mother-in-law has already shown up, with goodies.
We should see, but I won't bother with the fossil game until we get the better equipment added in. I'm certain that the museum will be coming around soon to HK as well.
The museum probably will not come until they fix the problems in Japan first. They stated it'll be somewhere in Feb for the updated, so most probably it'll be after that. Unless they don't care and release a half baked thing.
Mr Money God is back and seems he's bringing the old home square with him, though for the event it's now known as "Money God Square" you know the drill, touch Mr Money God and receive prizes- Chinese gold ingot wall art and a psn top-up. The lucky sets also make a return this year, each giving you a different colour t-shirt and random items. This years lucky sets are from Ndreams, Lockwood and Codeglue. Miss the New Year Hagoita items due to the issues they had at the time? Access the PS Home logo monument ( probably in Home square) to receive these and a chinese dragon companion. Asia now has the 50% sale from nDreams. There is also an "event" where users can receive a binx companion free when they purchase certain items. Event :: PlayStation®Home - Hong Kong
Great news about the hagoita fans. Yeah, I knew those Lucky Sets would have to come about near this Thursday's updates, so great to know that too. And, glad to hear we don't have to take pictures of Money God's sister again like last time.
