Why the hell aren't these guys rotting in prison? Everyone has a beef with the political system, no matter what side you are on, but Anon is not helping anyone, but themselves. They're as one sided as both political parties, they could give a crap less about "the people". They want a shot at their own power grab and to control things, that's not being for the people or even helping the people, that's greed and corruption. Everything Anon has done, has not helped me one bit. They have done nothing but tick me off and annoy me.
I hope they're not backing down, just because of Anon. Anon doesn't deserve the right to control anything.
I'm just guessing. But The new piracy laws is suppose to heavily benefit motion picture studios and their profits. And Sony purchases the rights to distribute Hollywood films on the PS3. Sony probably has to be on the side of Hollywood and support this law. btw, this law will probably harm Google and other search engines alot. I'm very much against it. But definitely not liking Anonymous.
I played on a Modded Xbox 360 till late in 2008, that was a couple of years before Microsoft caught on. With the money they have, and have shelled out buying up Skype, I get they could hire some Hacking Ninjas and target their fiercest competitor. The other thing is Microsoft doesn't offer a site like Home, where millions of users are actively strolling around and discussing random stuff, it's probably much easier to hack an open forum like that, than Microsofts closed video feeds.
:wow: Huh? The Beginning of the End? Watchu talkin' 'bout PI? :tease:[/QUOTE] gone past judgment day according to terminator 3, but according to 2012 the film its the end of world this year
I was talking about NXE, not the older bladed interface that they introduced in 2005. MS were well aware of the influence of modded Xboxes on gamer cheating but didn't do anything about it until their U.S. Anti-Trust legal obligations (a separate issue they were having with the U.S. government) expired in November 2007. Anon is going after Sony, specifically, because evidently Anon has sniffed out weaknesses in the PSN network which can be exploited, much to our inconvenience. MS officials would not be going around hiring Black-hat hacktivists to decimate their competition because that would be corporate suicide. All that the reputed hackers would have to do is send any MS-sanctioned text correspondance to WikiLeaks, and that would be the end of Microsoft. No I think the whole United States vs. Microsoft Anti-Trust case, and the 2001-2007 settlement resulting from it, shows that MS uses an entirely different approach. The tactic used most often by MS is to offer so many services and add-on DLCs and games bundled for free, that other companies simply can't get a foothold in the door. And we already know just how much people in Home love getting stuff for FREE, right? Let's remember that PS3 users in JP Home didn't get much of a "Welcome Back" package because Sony owns the monopoly on console gaming in Japan. MS had already signed deals with over 40 content and video-on-demand providers in Europe and USA to provide movie/TV streaming this Christmas. And that's why we see Sony suddenly trying to play catch-up by offering better Netflix and free Crackle access and so on.
I would like to see that film. Networks missed a fun opportunity of showing that film on new years. Lol But on the other hand, we avoided big brother styled society in 1984. We didn't have the WWIII predicted in star trek. No rise of khan noonian Singh. I was disappointed by no Macross spaceship falling to earth in 1999. But then glad the earth wasn't blasted out of orbit at the same time.
