answers are from 3 different threads on the official blog. "UPDATE: LOOT is aware of this issue affecting some of the EOD screens in Home (including the LOOT Theater, Hollywood Hills House, the Sunset Yacht, etc), and we are working around the clock to address it with them as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience, but know that this issue is of high priority to all of us. Lastly, stay tuned, as LOOT has something very exciting coming to Home very soon. " "Concerning the update to the furniture in the Hollywood Hills House, PSYCHO is right. With the recent update to the space, the "baked in" furniture was removed because you could not access the EOD screen while sitting. To provide you with the furniture so you can enjoy it anyway you like, if you own the space, the furniture was made available to owners of the space for $0 in the LOOT store. Head there and pick it up, then feel free to decorate the space anyway you want now with the flexibility of placing the furniture anywhere, and get the bonus of getting to use the items anywhere else you like and in any other personal space that you may own. " "As for the furniture update in the HHH, I will have more information for you in a couple days. Sit tight, I think you will like what we have to share on this topic." —GlassWalls i had suggested simply increasing the item limit to compensate for the new furniture.
That's nice and all, but I really hope he can address on fixing the PSTalent picture frame in Theater 1 most of the community hasn't gotten in like 4 days now.
actually DIRECTOR_ON_DUTY responded on a thread that he has contact sony and feels bad about it and that they are working on it. you know the regular we are working around the clock on this. here is the quote "I'm really sorry about the issues with the rewards. When I spoke to SCEA on both Thurs and Friday about this, they were working hard to fix it. I wish I could do more. Sorry. "
While there has been a lot of (valid) complaints regarding this issue, I am happy to see Loot care as much about these spaces to still continue to update them, I'm guessing they plan on releasing some reward system pretty soon using those points earned at the yacht.
But the complaints were not that valid... people jumped the gun again. With the crashing issue and maintenance no one bothered to ask 'why' did they have maintenance... It should have been obvious that if its down they were either fixing/testing/maintenance on the product. Loot gave us the EOD system in estates... so if they were doing work on it there had to be a reason. Thankfully they didnt just decide to reset the estates to what it was before so people would have their furniture complaints satisfied because if my guess is right 'something wonderful' is coming...
This would mean you think the item limit is just arbitrary and can be raised at any time. Considering it's been the most frequently requested change for two years now, and that Sony clearly knows they would make money from additional Home item sales with an expanded item limit - don't you think they would have done it a long time ago if it were so simple a thing to do? I suspect they have been trying to figure a way of expanding the item limit since the original closed beta way back in 2008. So I don't think its a matter of them simply expanding it as some kind of compensation... expanding the item limit would benefit Sony, so it seems pretty clear to me that they would have expanded it a long time ago if it were that simple.
Go to the LOOT store and its Furniture section... Under chair and sofa you will see the black seating options for no cost to estate owners. They also added a tan version of the black seating for a more chic look.
That is the Modern furniture set for upstairs which I already mentioned. I was asking where the free theater seating furniture is - as it is completely different than the ones in the Loot store.
Ah sorry.. responding as i rush to work.. I believe i read other posters say it was available if you can access the EOD system which few can. I tried mine with no luck
They need to put them in the Mall. Maybe they will this update. Not sure if they can update by adding items without a maintenance. Some seem to be able to access the EOD screens. Mine aren't working in either Hollywood Hills or the Sunset Yacht. The Yacht also has issues with marine life and the pelicans. Hopefully those will get fixed soon too. There are no pelicans and the frequency of seeing the other wildlife is reduced significantly.
Has anyone tried deleting the game save files for those spaces to see if that might fix the EDO screen? If not, next time I have a chance I'll make a back up copy of the game save files and try that. I don't have the Yacht space, but Linda does and we used her account to see if the EDO would work in her space, and it didn't... and as you mentioned the seagulls were gone, but unlike your experience, the whales and sharks were as frequent as before. Not only that, but she got a poped up message when she logged int Home last night saying she got a reward. We assumed it was the long lost PS Talent picture frame, but it was the dolphin blow-up thing from Loot - so she now has dolphins. The description of the item said something about having owned the cabin boy game, but she doesn't own it. Very odd. Maybe the dolphin item and dolphins are a gift due to the issues with the EDO?
I don't know hun. Nice to know they seem to be working fine for you and that Linda got the dolphins. It's nice they are trying to compensate users. On the other hand the spaces were just fine before although I do like the lighting better now at the Yacht. I would just like to get what I paid for. I don't need extras. I trust after all is said and done they'll replace the built in furniture in the Hollywood Hills space. I already purchased the living room furniture although I'll have to check and see about the beige versions of those. I hadn't seen those before. They are aware of the screen issues. Hopefully all users will have them working soon enough. I do have a couple friends who had lots of problems with the screens when the space first released. It took months before they could use them. I hope we don't need to get 11 people back to the yacht to get the pelicans. Lots of my friends are online although many of them are playing games these days on the xmb and aren't in Home as often as they used to be.
For me the time I have for Home is cyclical, some periods I'll visit several times a week, other times I might not be in Home for over a month... but when I get invites for group events I always try and visit if I can. Maybe when Loot resolves these issues, if the seagulls do not come back we can organize a group gathering where we can go from one yacht to the next to help everyone out.
What Is That ? .. People Play Games ? O_O .. Hee Hee .. I Never Did Get The Pelicans .. I Don't Want Poop On My Yacht

Thank you so much for posting that HERE so we don't have to go there. Jesus, how are you suppose to know these things unless you are one of the daily forumers there?
Just as an FYI, I also discovered I had suddenly received the "Inflatable Dolphin" reward last week. I personally didn't get any reward popup, but found it there when I was on the yacht and checking my inventory. According to the reward text, it says I received it because I had completed the "LOOT™ LUBBER Caper" (which involves nothing more than owning the yacht + wasting your money buying that lame Cabin Boy arcade game). I just assumed it was some bug introduced by the temporary space errors. Whatever… just glad I have some dolphins now. (If anyone has another pelican party, please let me know.)
