500 yen is still pricey to me.

Not only is it a tad more than I think a costume is worth, including game effects, there is the fact that the yen to dollar rate adds additional cost. Plus many times you have the middleman adding to the fee. So you are possibly paying $10.

play asia has 1000 yen card for $17.90 / £11.59 or I can buy Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for $15.94 or £9.99 brand new, slightly over priced I think

The initial price for AC: Brotherhood wasn't that price, but regardless home prices rarely goes down so, it's understandable. Money conversion wise, it differs everyday so I'll stay away on it. And anything in Japan (not just in Home) is usually more expensive, so the mentality of money value tends to differ. So if some one from the US thinks an items becomes expensive when it goes over $2, people in Japan won't think until it goes over 500 yen. Don't get me wrong, I still say the price is too much and not friendly for outsiders considering the crazy conversion rate. (although not their fault, more fault with the weak dollar and Japanese government doing nothing on it)

If don't like the prices of yen stop buying it. No one holding a gun to your head saiding buy yen. At least i hope not o.o .Prices are cheaper then most things in North american home. Just that North american has more sell on items than SCEJ

I think its more to do with prices then just yen, take sodium two to fully kit out a racer you could buy wipeout with your own currency without the need for conversion rates but your right it is about choices.

    :(

    Thanks....

I guess I'll stop for awhile.. Prices in NA are high too. Inflation in home is pretty high. I remember not too long ago people freaking about diesel prices. Now it's approaching the norm. Pretty soon I wouldn't be too surprised to see $10 be the standard cost of a full outfit bundle.

The attitude that "then don't buy it" hurts all of us in the long run...

If we all agree that prices are too high, and let Sony hear that, then prices go down. And we all benefit

    Thanks, yoshi.

    :)

On one hand I'm happy Home is thriving. But the High demand for anything virtual really jacks up prices. You can buy real things for the cost of virtual items. After the long hacking shutdown, I've reassessed my spending habits in Home. I try to budget more in the real world now. And I realize, I was spending like a river before. I need to keep the virtual budget down some :)

Its what can you buy instead of, and if they want us to buy more expensive stuff they should have a better way of previewing them, at least then you know how good it is and is it worth it, Granzella have made it more obvious due to irem links and the fact they are charging double on quite a few bits for virtually the same stuff that irem did.

Well in case you're ever in Japan server, and would like a Japan card.
This site is cheaper than Play Asia.

Actually the only reason I don't get cards on that site is because I hear bad reviews.

    PlayStation Network Cards

But back to the topic at hand.
I do believe a lot of home users today are very worried about the future of pixel item pricing.
Granted, anymore we sell mostly in costumes and now that Granzella is trying to make a big start in all the regional servers.

The more people request items from them, the more high cost the items will stay.
I don't see them lowering the prices on solo items such as tops or bikinis to anything below a dollar.
In Japan at least, and if anyone here spends enough time in Japan server. You'll realize high pricing is something most people are used to.

But since Japan is now weakened due to the loss of IREM, the server really has nothing to depend on minus their costumes and Granzella content.
Much else is what has been there since the start.

I myself aren't happy with the pricing, but that's why I don't intent on re buying Granzella content on my American account because if I'm going to spend big. I rather do it in Japan, and only there so I don't feel like I'm wasting all my money on home completely.

Hi, has anyone played the Edo game? Does it come with any rewards? I can't stay on long enough on that space w/o losing connection to the server.

Lol, I've been saying since day one that Granzella's stuff are overprice. For 1200yen the Sword item should at least come with a pair of armored gloves to go along with the suit. lol

On a different subject - for fans of Final Fantasy; Japan will be releasing a bundle version of both Final Fantasy XIII-2 and a newly design PS3 320GB console with artwork by Tetsuya Nomura!!!

    Here's the link:

Final Fantasy XIII-2 dated worldwide, bundled with limited edition system in Japan | Joystiq

VERY MUCH APPRECIATING THE ADVANCE NOTICE!!

I suggest that everyone try to get 2 rewards the next time they go to japan to cover the loss. The last time we saw items forcibly deleted, the empty rewards slots were unstable and kept deleting rewards. But filling both reward slots asap will fix that.

It shouldn't be too hard to do.

It's a shame they couldn't leave it as a reward but never mind, I'm sure I'll live.
