Just trying to find out if anyone else is playing the beta at this time - and if so - their thoughts about the game.

    Thanks

The beta ends today and I thought it was great while it lasted. Only MMO i've ever subscribed to before was FFXI, DCU looks like it may be my second. Great action game.

I had it but i found i was just having the same fight in a diff area all the time. If you just had to buy the game i might get it, but no way im buying it and then paying for access.

Yeah - seemed that way to me at first - but as your character powered up - it got better.

I enjoyed the game - and will probably get it - at least they give you a one month free subscription to the online.

Wonder if you don't renew - do you lose your character and all of his/her accomplishments - or if you decide a few months down the line - and pay to play - will your character be as it was?

Do wish that the game at least gave you a "single player" game to keep you occupied if you don't renew.

Only problems I had were the constant freeze and lag issues - it sorta felt like I was on Home *sorry*

I heard about the "main event" going on tonight at 7pm PST - but with all the problems - I decided to delete the beta off my PS3. I hope they have that fixed - cause I really don't see many people paying for freezing or lagging. Guess time will tell.

I locked up loads. It be better if u could buy year and life time pass like pc version. When i buy i game i want to be albe to pick it up and play it again a year later if bored. With this u can not inless u pay.

But could just say thats becasue im a bit gamer, i play game what takes my fancy even if its on i had 12 month, never play game start to end with out playing a other game like some do.

If you were able to buy a year subscription - you are talking what - $180.00 us dollars (@ $15.00 a month) - might as well drop the other $20.00 and get the lifetime.

I do play different games basically at the same time. Not all my friends play same games online - so when I see them on UC2 - or BFBC2 - Black Ops - I will try and join them to have fun. Not sure how many of my friends will be playing on this one.

I know that the first month will be busy - since it is freeplay - I just hope they fixed the lag/freeze issues cause not many will start signing on to the monthly subscription.

Wow, I just checked who the creator of the MMORPG was. Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). No wonder you guys are getting bugs and freezes in the game! They usually make some buggy MMORPGs and release them to soon and in an incomplete form. It sounds like they still haven't changed their stripes much.

I promised myself that I would never again buy into a SOE MMORPG again, after they completely redesigned/broke my favorite MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies about 2 years into it's life. Making it even more buggy and incomplete, then it was when it first came online. And I am sticking to that promise.

Don't think there are a lot of DCUO users on here but DC Universe Online is going Free-2-play in October with limits on free play sort of how Free Realms is set up. Full details aren't out yet but some have been released if anyone is interested down the line.

That's not bad, makes me interested in buying it, it's better then paying $60 then paying monthly just to play it

It sucks you only get two character slots & the bare minimum of options but it's better then feeding your game money each month. I hate needy games
