PlayStation Plus in September: Free Plants vs Zombies and classic Resident Evil title Halloween isn't until next month, but it looks like PlayStation Plus is looking to kick off the spookfest a little early. Among the highlights for the premium service this month are free downloads of Plants Vs. Zombies and the PSone Classic versions of the first three Resident Evilgames. Altered Beastwill also be available for free. Yeah lol, just wish there were more options like half off DLC or buy one game get one sony game of your choice free. Three free PSN avatars free three free dynamic themes free. You know, something that makes PSN+ members say OMG NO WAY COOL & then run & tell friends how great the deals are. So far the only benefit i see in PSN+ is the ability to copy copyrighted saves & that's it.
From Dust PSN debut moved to Sep. 13 in North America Good news! The village chant worked, and the PSN version of From Dust will flood North America two weeks sooner than expected. The god sim will now arrive this coming Tuesday, September 13. NFL Sunday Ticket Experiences a Rough Opening Day Sony is offering a $25 PSN voucher to users. If, like me, you enjoy keeping an eye on Twitter during NFL games and you follow any NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers, you saw some complaints yesterday from users experiencing issues. It was the first Sunday of the season and the first time subscribers -- after agreeing to pay $339.95 to get every Sunday game this season -- were able to watch NFL games on their PlayStation 3, and unfortunately DirecTV ran into some problems. It was just last month that we learned that Sunday NFL Ticket would be made available to non-DirecTV customers through the PlayStation Network. Aside from shocking those who were unaware of how much it costs (the $340 works out to $20 per week), it was exciting news for those who are otherwise unable to watch their favorite team's games from home.

Some people were unable to log in while others were subjected to the same looping video over and over. And it wasn't just PS3 users who were having trouble -- NFL Sunday Ticket To-Go (which allows you to watch on certain mobile devices, computers, and tablets) was also experiencing technical difficulties.It didn't help that DirecTV's support account on Twitter was of little help -- as Giant Bomb points out, it instructed a former staff member to contact Sony if he purchased the service through PSN and isn't a DirecTV subscribers. That's not the sort of answer most people are looking for.

Revelations beta to continue for another week Initially launched for Uplay and PlayStation Plus*members, the Assassin?s Creed: Revelationsbeta later opened up for all to play on the PlayStation 3. Whether the number of participants and sessions logged were overwhelmingly many or Ubisoft just want to continue tweaking, we don?t know, but the beta has been effectively extended for another week.Started on September 3rd and destined for closure yesterday, the beta will continue to be available until the 17th. As already described, it includes nine different playable characters, four modes and three maps. Assault Horizon demo coming to XBL/PSN A demo for Ace Combat: Assault Horizonis hitting Xbox Live and PlayStation Network today in North America and tomorrow in Europe, Namco Bandai?s announced, bringing with it an offering of two missions from the single-player campaign.The first acts as a tutorial level and puts you in a jet fighter over Miami, while the second sees you take control of a helicopter and provide support for a rescue operation. Ish. Look, we're not Time Lords, okay? We can barely grasp the concept of timezones as it is. Sony also says that maintenance may be extended for some titles/services/websites beyond the estimated window for "testing purposes," which we originally read as "testing porpoises," which seemed way more interesting. Even though the game seems to be a pretty bare bones shooter, allowing players to shoot up other people?s Home avatars sounds like a blast ? no pun intended. Getting in the thick of the action is as simple as finding the game in the district and launching it. The best part, other than being free? No waiting in line. No matter how many people are playing, there will always be room to jump in.Another game heading to Home as a free-to-play title is poker, which will be found in the ?Sportswalk? area of the redesigned service. This poker game, as with*Bootleggers, will be ready to play without waiting in line like with previous Home games ? I?m looking at you, Red Bull.
