By accomplishing missions, you mean following the on-screen prompts during the dive?? Or completing the book? If a fish shows up in the tank as "?" I presume that means it's not in our fish file book yet, and we should be spending most of the time snapping the ? fish. There's a lot of missing fish in my book. The streaming video interferes somehow. In the fish file book, the Whale Shark is displayed with only 2 yellow stars beside it. All other fish have 3 stars. Idk if that has any effect that limits what we can get out of the gumball machine.
Faga means the on screen prompts, if you take a pic of the target fish or audience before the sparkles appear you get alot more points. Yes, ? means it's not in your book yet and the yellow stars in the book shows the rarity of the fish in the wild.
Many thanks Sam for clearing up the part about rarity. If anyone has more tips to share on how to follow the specific dive goals, I'd love to get more help on that. All of the little fish that travel in schools keep showing up as ? to the camera, so I don't know how to get a picture of one (or the group of them) after trying many many times. :hmmm:
The ? fish are the ones that you haven't taken a picture of and didn't save it under your HDD. In order to complete the book, you have to dive into the tanks many times a take only one good picture of that fish for a total of 3 times. You cannot save the same fish 3 times in one run, so you need to go in multiple times. Once you save your progress, you can view the book and see what fish you got saved inside there. It's also a good idea to remember what name of the fish you need to get to complete the next two.
I've got an idea for tracking which fish need to be snapped again. Point & shoot camera! Take pictures onscreen of what I need to get in my picture book. That might help with those dory like fish that all look the same. Have done about 7 or 8 dives getting a B-rating and need to get probably 11 more fish.
Since there are 30 fish within the tank, try to finish it close enough to the rare fish if at all possible within the book, or vice versa (since the rare fish are sometimes hard to get time-wise). Then, try for the rare fish, but be warned two of them jump from instance to instance every hour - the dolphin fish and the cow rays. The other rare fish, the barracuda and the black-tipped shark do not.
Long and time consuming is right… Since opening, I've only done 2 dives, as it takes far too long to get into the tank due of the crowds. Having to wait in line ~45m between dive turns is ridiculous — I've got far better things to do with my time. When the crowds go down, I'll try it again; if not, I'll gladly just keep my 1 photo and say screw the rest. And I thought nothing could ever be worse than the queues for "Ward of Despair"… no comparison!
The FIFA soccer game seemed worse, but the crowd should be going faster with 3 lanes opened right now. You may just want to wait till Oct. when most people should have completed theirs.
Gotta agree with you there — FIFA was a fairly nasty wait as well… As for taking my own swim thru "The Sea of the Kuroshio Current", I felt it would be far easier to pull off by simply being patient and waiting until after the first phase was over (i.e., after September 1st). Although I enjoy watching the fish, I simply couldn't waste all those hours there. Besides I had loads of medical commitments, so I put my time into something far more constructive… like enjoying the awesome new Dresden Files novel that was just released, or helping Banoi with their zombie depopulation program (especially as it appears I'll be joining their undead ranks somewhat sooner than I expected… ). Anyway, I also I just noticed today that the private "Sony Building Personal Use" kiosk was switched over to a regular usage line, and the wait times definitely have gone down. Now if I can just get the last couple of "Egg" rewards I need for my authentic Okinawan "Kariyushi-wear" clothing item, I'll be satisfied (btw, these are wonderful real-life clothing items).
I finally finished all my fish rewards for Hotaru! I had 9000 pts and was down to my last couple hundred, but I got it! Whew. That was close. Labrat though only had 6000 and didn't get her manta. Oh well. Very time consuming mini game.
How are you people collecting and saving up 9000 to 11000 p worth of Aquarium points??? Half the time the drop down video only shows that black error message. :disgust:
Spending a long time at the aquarium, finding low population server, playing the minigame, waving and the daily poster.
when it's time to snap a pic of the audience, don't wait for sparkles. The sooner you shoot, the more points you get. Also when it's sparkle fish time, they show the name of the fish at the beginning. So if you can read japanese, its easier to get alot more points.
Also don't forget each day u can goto the Blog in the back left side and get 100 Points alone each day off the blog itself... That alone adds up each day! So remember the blog daily... By: DCS
http://playstationhome.jp/world/special/tgs2011.html TGS theater global lounge coming 9/15. Seems 3 rewards are handed out. (at least for Japanese accounts. 3rd one is probably the same that was handed out in Gamescom) (Please note, we don't know if the rewards is handed out the same for all regions at this time. Most probably it is, but just in case if it doesn't, don't start complaining.) Scribble shooter is the same as HK. Cabinet is free, but needs to buy the key to unlock all stages.
seems the house we can see at Granzella's lagoon is now to sale ^^ PlayStation®Home ƒIƒtƒBƒVƒƒƒ‹ƒTƒCƒg

It is approximately forty maximum for the audience. Thirty for the first fish listed in the game. Approximately twenty to thirty points for each fish image taken correctly and quickly.
