I burned through almost 6000 credits in the aquarium but only obtained 5 of the 6 new fish. Looks like I need to keep collecting. Ugh.
I'm guessing you have all but the new rare fish ornament, the pacific ray. They decided to add another one that's as rare as the Whale Shark, if not rarer. I burned through about 11,000 credits before it finally showed up (got Whale Shark 3 times yesterday while doing so) :speechless:
I got lucky. I got all six with about 5000 credits. I was expecting to either spend additional time there or to just not worry about it.
I think a lot of us got lucky too lol. Aiken was telling me how she got the Pacific Manta Ray on her last 1,000 points. Burning through so many points was starting to worry me and it finally popped up on the last bit of points I had. Seems all that waving pays off lol.

I also think that the rare fish will be in the tank all the time and not just one hour like before. I stayed 4 hours in the aquarium and the dolphinfish was 1 hour there and the stingray 3 hours.
I had like 7850 points when i started yesterday... It went from 7850 points down to 5000 points for me to get all 6 of the NEW fish trophys... The last one i got was the huge stringray and it turned out to be another Diamond fish! I didn't get the other diamond fish at all the whale shark never appeared during my time doing this... Very odd! So i only spent 2850 points to get all 6 New Fish Trophy's myself... YAY! still have 5000 left.... Wonder what to do with those... LOL! I was there when Home first opened Japan was first stop and the aquarium was my first stop.... the gumball machines were packed so i figured something was up. i did a 200 point 3 play spin and i hit one new fish then... so once that hit i knew they had added the new fish... So i kept going got another then another then another till i had 5... i was getting lower down on points but long ways to go... next i hit it was a DIAMOND fish i was shocked it was the NEW Stringray was a Diamond one... WOW! But i got that little trickster and that was it... I was like well thankgoodness thats over! By: DCS
I told you before about the gold campaign, Steve. You need to answer or fill-in a question or a joke that Sony Japan picks as best overall, which is about a week or two weeks prior to Friday's new issues. This issue revealed the answers and gave those that had the best answers got the in-game items. And the Ai-kun green animal is from the Macross F Live Concert in JP Home which was in the last weeks in July after watching the entire thing. You missed out. I only burned 2000 points at the Aquarium last night, and got all 6 rewards, and re-entered the space to get the shirts. The big manta ray platinum ornament came up on my first try.
Yes, the whale shark popped up a handful of times for me as well. But no Pacific ray. What a hassle now to keep going back for more points.

i used ~~2500 pts to get last 6 fish rewards ^^ (had almost 9000) no idea whether points are still usable for something else got my 3rd stingray picture while diving, now only need to rush for dolphinfish and baracuda to complete my photo album
It's about time!!! I finally obtained the Pacific ray after using probably around 10000 credits. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but it came only a few attempts after my first S-rating in the diving game. I believe that my best score had been 99 points for an A-rating. After scoring 100 and 103 points in back-to-back dives for S-ratings, I won the rare ray. Like I said, it may be a coincidence but it seemed to be worth mentioning. At any rate, it was a lot of work for a shirt that I'll probably never wear and ornaments that only fit in a space that I never visit. Nice accomplishment, nonetheless.
That's actually what I am beginning to suspect. The dives may have an immediate relationship to the best trophy that one is able to "unlock" from the Gashapon machine. Does anyone know if they got the Whale Shark while having less than an A-rating for a dive? Has anyone been even able to get all the Gold trophies without having completed any dives? Due to being booted out of the game for example. Would love to know what you have to do, in order to achieve that fabled S-rating. Not sure why my wife is only getting 8 to 13 points for taking a photo of the crowd participants, or why the L1 zoom function doesn't work when doing so. :blink:
I snapped a picture of the crowd as soon as the 10 second timer started counting and it yielded 48 points. I'm guessing that 50 might be the maximum. Sometimes, you can't take a picture of the crowd but pressing the R1 button causes you to wave to them. I've seen that action worth quite a few points at times as well but I can't get it to work consistently. I also start taking pics of random fish as soon as I enter the tank, usually starting with the bigger ones. It seems that those shots are worth up to 30 points at times, possibly by capturing an image of the correct fish before the timer and sparkling sequence begins. Those are pretty much anecdotal observations and guesses but they seem to be helpful strategies. Good luck.
I have not dived at all after getting all the fish from the book, S-graded or non-S-graded, and raised 13740 points until Sept. 1st. I used only 2000 points (using the 200 option) and got all 6, the first being the pacific manta ray on my first try. Usually, the machine spits out just random fish, and I'm assuming the rankings doesn't matter much.
It's just probability. The rarer ones are set to low, so it becomes all luck. Most of my friends already achieved a S rating and some got it in less than 1500 and some needed 30000. There's 2 version for the crowd. Taking pics and waving. The waving seems to have problems and doesn't seem to go through well (rumor that the crowd needs to wave back to achieve it). Also, it seems that accomplishing the missions asap will give you more points.
