I bought both new apartments. Diesel one is huge and includes the full public beach space as a private version. Five huts in all, two on beach and three inland. No special features (besides strange sound effects around the edges) but very nice. Good furniture spawn snaps and the whole space can be decorated. To be honest, I prefer it to the Silicon lounge, as that has no spawn snaps, the dancefloor only reacts to walking, not dancing, no music to go with it and the teleporters have no option to press to use, so don't wander too close. Both are good but I vote Diesel.
I have the new Diesel apartment if anyone's interested in taking a look at it later, its pretty nice. I like the dusk setting and space to run around. Was happy to see you could take the ladder up to the huts
I agree Chad. I haven't purchased a personal space in quite awhile but I went for it on this one and I think its pretty awesome. Its HUGE....and the dusk setting, like you said, makes it even better. I like that hut way up top for a place to relax lol Here are some quick pics that I took:
Nice pics Hop, I noticed the "To the Beach" sign but didn't venture far past that in fear of being warped to the public space, but I see a picture there that is of the Diesel Public space at dusk. Is that apart of the apartment as well or is the public space now at dusk as well?
That sign leads you through the jungle to the wide open beach area...it's all part of the personal space (first pic is of me on the jungle path on the way out to the beach area). Good use the last of my remaining $ in EU for sure. Now it's time to have big 'ol beach party! lol :thumbup1:
Any hope the time changes? I saw a picture of the diesel appt and you pc has completely different lighting
I don't think the time changes FF....at least not that I know of. You can come and take a look at the space anytime if you want to.
Dont forget i always post vids of new personal spaces, so always a good idea to check the sites youtube page first
Hahaha. I knew from reading your post that you had missed the beach. I just bought this space myself, and if it had only been that small clearing around the pond and the large huts up above I'd have been happy. But as i was walking around (it was very dark) I happened to notice a sign that said "To the beach." My jaw dropped as i walked further and further and found myself walking out onto an almost exact replica of Diesel Island. I love it. If anyone has some pounds or Euros to spend, I don't think you'll regret it. Btw, has anyone else noticed that rhythmic "thwack" near the left edge of the beach? I can't figure out what it is.
I've heard it too, I'm not sure what it is exactly but it sounds awfully familiar...;D
Maybe this personal space has an additional surprise for us? i have visited Diesel Island sooo many times since it was released, and often wished i could have it to myself. Now I can.
I mentioned strange noises around the edges of the area in my review of the space earlier in this thread. The beach sound near the cliffs appears to be a ticking clock. The sound near the rocks beside the inland hut at ground level seems to be somebody walking across a wooden floor and then going through a door. The sound at the edge of the clearing, just about opposite the huts sounds like a game of table tennis.
One page back: http://www.yourplaystationhome.com/f2/european-home-discussion-thread-1465/index47.html#post23962 Perhaps there are more than the three sounds I found? It sounded very like a clock to me, so perhaps you found a different sound on the beach? The clock sound was over toward the cliffs on the left if you were looking at the sea.
Nvm, I found your post. It's rhythmic, which is why I think it reminds you of a clock. But other than being regular or periodic, it doesn't really sound like a clock to me. I dunno.
