This weeks SCEA Home Stores update in full with names and costs like always here at YPSH. 18th August 2011 A total of 107 new items this week.
I got a mail today with a code to redeem! ;D It's a mail for the Dead Island promotion in Home. And the code is for a "blood splatter wall" furniture item for the personal spaces. Everybody else got the same mail? Edit: Unfortunately I didn't get a code for my EU account
Hopefully they send out more...haven't got a damn email from Sony since the PSN hack in April, its been months since I've received any email notifications from them. I went ahead and unchecked and rechecked the email notifications under Account Management, maybe I'll start getting them again. What bugs me about these 'mystery promotional emails' is that those who use Home and want them, wont get them. Then people like those Call of Duty bumpkins will get those emails, and not think twice about opening it, or redeem it because its a code for something, but never really use the item. Basically a code gone to waste. The Resistance 3 t-shirt codes in EU were one thing, but this is another. And I'll be honest I don't like this way of promoting something, this method of distribution either needs to be tweaked or just stop completely.
Got the code at 12:06 PM CST Sunday (time stamped). Just found it. It may take a few days for them all to be sent out. I will check my other email(s) from my other account(s) tomorrow (NA and EU?, IDK?) and share if I get another/more. Good luck all. ::. Edit to read Sunday, not Saturday. Okay, to anyone who's received the email with the Dead Island code...have you been receiving email notifications from Sony, and received emails from them prior? I have in the past but ever since the PSN hack I have yet to receive a single email notification from them. My EU email has gotten Sony emails since then but not my NA account email... I think at this point I'm shit out of luck, unless they decide to send out more this week.
I suppose that, with all of the bitching I've done about Sony, I should not be surprised that I have not received a free code.
Have a few accounts, but only one oddball got the code. And all accts have been set to receive notifications for awhile now.
I did get my e-mail finally on Sunday at the exact same time stamp as Cooper. I have been receiving e-mail notifications from Sony (such as "What's New" kinds of newsletters, Purchase Confirmations, to even Tester Open Casting Call). You may want to check your Junk mail folder if you already haven't. Sony might be using a different marketing e-mail address after the PSN hack, that your e-mail provider thinks is spam.
