Bayonetta Demon'sSouls Heavy Rain & many more games. Demon'sSouls, you've spent hours on hours getting swords armor beating the bosses. Bayonetta, you've gotten 17platinum metals all of her skills & your only a few platinum metals away from unlocking jeanne. Heavy Rain, your two chapters away from seeing who's the killer. And what could possibly happen to any of those game saves being that deep into each one? Save Data Corruption & What's worse you can't backup the individual game saves because Bayonetta Demon'sSouls Heavy Rain & many more are Copy Prohibited. Something i HATE. Hours on hours of gaming work & you can't backup the saves
Game Translations, for the most part, any game that makes it to NA from Japan is more than a welcomed edition (i.e. Catherine, Tales Of Graces (next year), etc..,) as far as I'm concered!! However there are those game translations, where things are "lost in translation" for example "Rival Schools", which to me is an outstanding fighting game and is on par with "Street Fighter"! It's game translation saw the loss of it's "Character Creation" mode, which was all I was aware of, until I found out it was far more lost than this! A more detailed explanation of what was actually taken out of the NA version, reveals almost an entirely different game, that I've come to know! I mean a fighting game that let's you create a character and play through a story mode! relevant to "Rival Schools" story! (read below) I'm left in utter awe! This solidifies "Rival Schools" as an outstanding fighter, for it's time and even now!, Street Fighter's never done this, even with it's recent versions! I hate NA game translations that take away what was in the Japanese version! "The second disc, named the Evolution Disc, featured several new games to complement the arcade original. This disc included several minigames based on some of the students' activities and theNekketsu Seisyun Nikki mode, a character creation mode in the form of a date simulation. In this mode, a player would be able to create a student and go through a typical school year. Over this time, the custom character could develop friendships with any of the characters at the various schools, which allowed to give the custom character moves and reveal bits and pieces about the existing characters and their backgrounds. Once the custom character was finished with the school year, it could be used in any of the normal fighting modes, save for the original Arcade game.Capcom translated most of the games on the Evolution Disc for the English localization, and planned to include the character creation mode (rebranded as "School Life") as well, but unfortunately later abandoned the character creation mode, citing the amount of time it would take to translate it from Japanese to English. The rest of the extra modes featured in the Evolution Disc were still included in the overseas versions."
Haha It Was Quite A Surprise To Me As Well. I Could Say All Those Years Of Testing Viruses In Others As Well As Jill Really Transformed The Overall Look. I Actually Do Love Both Looks Of Jill. I Laughed About The Brunette To Blonde ;D
lol Yeah, I think it was the biggest surprise to long time fans of the RE series! Yeah her transformation/makeover was due in part to her being infected with the G-virus at the "tentacle" of Nemesis, due to the fact that the virus was or still is active in her bloodstream! I too like both looks, even though I had accepted the way she looked for RE 3 as her best look! You know casual, but still combat ready!
Something i hate, PSN+ game save copying restriction. You can save copyrighted game saves but you have to wait 24hrs to copy the game save data which sucks.
Dual Wielding It's like your getting jumped from the left or the back more. It's a very bad way to view your character. Dual Wielding. OMG it's one of the greatest things ever added in games, TombRaider made it so cool (The original great TombRaider, Not today's bad remakes). Swords guns knives whatever, I love Dual wielding.
All The Weapons & Strength Of The World & A Wooded Door Stops Your Progress Few games include this ability, They do it in the movies so why not more games including this ability? Your in a game (average shooter) & you get to a locked door, you don't have a key so access isn't happening, so the question is WHY CAN'T I TAKE MY SHOTGUN & BLOW A HOLE IN THE DOOR!!!!. You have smurf loads of weapons plenty of ammo, so why can't you shoot through a locked wooded door? Here's another 1. Your strong enough to rip out a monster's eyeball kill hercules but an iron gate stops your progress ????
Wow! So PSN+ allows you to back up copy protected game data, which means this is the only way you can do so (thumbs down for that) I know they implemented the copy protected game data to prevent cheating, but it also seems it was for monetary purposes as well! and 24hrs to back 1 save? it's exactly like cloud saves! I've never seen or heard of a GB game data save, so it shouldn't take hrs to back it up!
Yeah, it really is, which put you iin some really nasty situations! especially health wise! The over the shoulder view is a pro and a con, pro being it provides a controlled focus to aiming (i.e. headshots, etc...) meaning you can target specific areas on your enemies (i.e. kneecaps, legs, etc...) debilitating them in most cases. However the cons far outweigh the pros, in that as stated to much emphasis is placed on the right side of character, the opposite is true of the left side as well! (i.e. Sheva)
I think the best way to do a good targeting system is Fallout style. When an enemy is near and you pull the V.A.T.S (Vault-Tech Assisted Targeting System) and check the % and know that head blown to smithereens and decapitation action!..LOL..
In regards to your take on dual wield, I agree! It allows you to protect both your left and right sides! In Yakuza Of The End, my favorite character Akiyama, has this ability in which he wields dual hand guns! In fact looking back it was heavily used in "Fear Effect"! I yet again agree with your take on Laura crofts dual wield as she definitely did it well! (we should propbably call her the original dual wielding game character) I like dual wield outside of action adventure games as well! (Champions Of Norrath)
I agree, I don't think it's ever been fully implemented, but RE: 4 & 5 did allow you to shoot certain doors & destroy them! I know what you mean though, (no limitations) and I agree, especially if the game has a lead character who has a vast amount of power! (i.e. Prototype, GOW, etc...)
Unwanted Game invasion Single and multiplayer to fuse together single-player portion of the game, subtly blended with the multiplayer via Autolog, Something i HATE! Game invasion The idea of playing a game & anyone at anytime can invade your game sicken me. That element i hated really HATED about Demon'sSouls I HATED about SaintsRow2, I HATE period. The moment you sign in, anyone ANYONE can invade your game, How is that enjoyable? Not everyone wants to have their game open to everyone. I like the luxury of inviting friends on my terms whenever i feel the need to have a gaming partner.
Open World Games I another thing i LOVE in games are open world environments & freedom to progress as i see fit. Side missions or just exploration, the freedom to do whatever i want whenever i want. Games like SaintsRow2 Oblivion FallOut3, i've beaten them twice maybe & restarted & just explored the game, i'd play them for over a year. SaintsRow2 i've beaten twice after the release date & restarted & i've been playing it to this very day. Open world games are amazing, imagine an open world Final Fantasy or TombRaider or Silent Hill with character creation.
Currently not liking everyone hating on Natsu. Yes, SC announced a 'female' character..Yes, she's a ninja with blonde hair. Yes, she might replace Taki. Get over it people. If you want to play Taki you still have your SC4(& others) to play. And I welcome more female characters seeing as other fighting games there's usually not that many females..
Taki, One of Soul Calibur's favorites. I kinda agree with everyone on that 1. Taki is a fan favorite, she's been with Soul Calibur since early on in Soul Blade. I can absolutely understand gamers loyalty & love for the character, it's like StreetFighter without Ken & Ryu or Chun Li or DMC with no Dante. I'm hating the fact that they're making the favorites older & trying to replace them with twerps when they should've ended with Soul Calibur 4, given the characters a graceful exit & called it a day. The saving element for me in Soul Calibur 5 is the character creation, where i can create my own characters or recreate Taki Ivy & others in the young & beautiful form i favored them as. Taki might be replaced but she'll live on in character creation & won't be forgotten.
