Well, I'm going to go there again at the 10pm cuda thing - which is the only thing to get so far, so yeah. I'm sure most of you guys will. Jut now, we found that 1pm EST has a dolphinfish. Perhaps it'll be on there for 3-4 hours. Not sure. Faga is still trying to find confirmation about the stingray from his japanese Home friends online, which is what we still don't know how to get it. Maybe perhaps at different times, or by getting the other three rare fish and completing them? It's hard to say so far. Much confirmation is still needed to be approved for the stingrays.
I think I may try to stay up for a bit, still need to get that barracuda. Can't believe I missed 2 opportunities at the dolphin fish today.
Update: I can now confirm a few times: (all in Japan time) 21-3 for dolphinfish (seems it's more difficult to find after 0:00, perhaps it just luck and I was unlucky) 3-? for cow stingray (3-4 so far) Both came at the same instance (2-3, 3-4), really lucky.
That's how I feel, at first I thought it might be hard to find, but it seems the more people you have helping hunt them down, the more people you have covering more instances and the better the chance one of you will see it. I also have things to do today thus why I didn't say up so late. Its hard to go and take a test on 2-3 hours of sleep, if any at all
Likewise as well having to work from Monday to Friday and I usually go to sleep pretty early during the evening and need my 6 - 8 hours rest for the next day. Tonight am down with the hunt for rare fishes since the weekend I usually get up late as my resting day from work and give me time to do leisure stuff as well. ^^
Might I add, new semester of college is coming up. I'm only doing summer school now but once the Fall '11 semester starts there'll be absolutely no way I can pull off staying up late at these times. If I want these shots the sooner the better, we only need 3 but it also involves finding the right instance, getting in a queue of 30+, waiting and waiting, then actually getting into the tank and not missing the shot. I'm not complaining here, don't get me wrong. The times just suck for us PST users
True true, "time" do get the best of us. When I was younger time is always there and now as an adult with job, it just seems there is no time at all and time go by so quick.
Best to get it done and over with than not doing it at all, I'd always say. So, stingrays don't come out until 3:00 JST? So that's at 1pm-2pm EST then. Do the stingrays supposedly stay with the dolphinfish then within that one hour? I didn't see any when I was over there shooting my last dolphinfish.
I just have to say I'm relieved that this happened while I'm on my vacation. I still need 2 more of the stingray so I'm still not off the hook and would like to finish it before things come up. So far the rare fishes will only appear with 1 species during it's time. Each hour they appear at a random instance so there is a chance that the next hour appears at the same instance. I believe you left before the hour when the changes took place.
Yeah okay, so there's a chance the dolphinfish AND the stingray will be in the same spot for an hour. Good to know. We just need to find it again and again during that time. When was it that I left? 2pm? That would be the exact time I should've stayed.
No, no. It's not the same hour. It's separate times. 2-3 was for the dolphinfish, 3-4 was for the stringray. You left around 2:50 or so I think.
I didn't manage to get in the tank with the stingray, but took a pic from outside just before it vanished
Thanks Sam, I thought that was the one, too bad we didn't get in there in time, we'll have to keep trying at least now we know when it's there for sure.
Does anyone else know when the stingray will come back again? It seems likely he'll show up again on the same day but at a different time, I imagine. Kudos for the picture, Sam.
EDIT: DISREGARD THE TEXT BELOW. I TRANSLATED THE FIELD'S LABEL AND THE STARS ARE FOR "RARITY/SCARCITY." Original Post: I don't think I've seen anyone mention the 1-3 star rating in the photo book. I've noticed that you seem to get rated for the best shot you've taken. The rating seems to be tied to how many points you got for the shot. I'm wondering if there are two potential accomplishments here... fill the book, or fill it perfectly with all 3-star ratings. I only have three things that need better ratings, but one of them is the barracuda, and I think I might be totally boned on that one. Just getting a shot is hard enough, never mind a perfect shot. I hope the rating is not actually important...
