So we'll just have to go server hopping until we find one. Sounds good, thanks :p

One more thing, lets say I do spot one of the rare fish in the tank. And I so happen to snap 3 pictures of that fish. If I can save all 3 of those to my HDD before the timer goes out, will that complete the file? Or can I only save one picture of each fish at a time, meaning I would have to play the game 3 times in order to complete the file for a rare fish.

Yeah, getting it all at once would have made it real easy, but no it doesn't work that way. You need to do it for each time.

It seems to be possible to get credit for more than one of the three entries in the book during a single swim. I've managed to pick up images one and two, or two and three, in one go in some cases. I think you have to take pictures of completely different instances of the fish in the tank. Two in the same school would not count, but two that are totally separate from each other might work.

I want to emphasize that I can't confirm how it's happened. I'm just speculating. All I know for certain is that, after a single swim, I have seen multiple shots show up in the book for a given fish. I'm only assuming I managed to catch two fish of the same species. or that I got an extra credit for catching one in a special pose (e.g. when the ray swims upwards, you get big points for catching that on camera).

Anyone who still has a nearly-empty book could experiment with this pretty easily. I only need a few more shots, so getting two in one run is unlikely to happen again at this point.

hmm...it might, or could have just bugged. But anyway there is only 1 that comes out for the rare fish, so it probably won't work for them.

Time to hunt down some VR reps :p

To anyone hopping instances, an easy way to see whose in a space with you is by checking the list of who is in your instance. To do this, pull up the full chatlog with L3 (Left analog stick), then hit Square, choose the second option, and a list of everyone in your instance will pull up. Just check that for the VR reps and you'll know ;D

Yeah. They aren't moderators, just users who're either employee or citizen visiting the actual aquarium in Okinawa. Their usernames show up in the chatlog list.

    Correction:
It's not Okinawa. It's at the Tokyo Sony building that is doing the event that deals with the Okinawa aquarium.

Very good work Joanna! Fast job on the hauppaugge. Congratulations on the footage. Did you get 3 pics of all the rares? I wish I could have been there. Would have love to have seen them too.

You always seem ready. Is your hauppaugge always on when you are in Home?

I'm curious because mine don't feed video through unless it's on. Mine actually developed an error where it only does 720 now. On 1080 I get a blank screen sometimes. I might have to replace mine one day soon. Maybe mine is a little buggy...

Hopefully I will be able to do an all nighter tonight to try for the blacktip and barracuda. I was just wondering how often you guys managed to locate the VR accounts yesterday?

I only got to take 3 pics of the rare shark. The rare barracuda I wasn't able to get any saveable pics for the one time I got into the pool with it. I was just too far away for them to register. I did see it and take pics but no luck on that one. I just crashed after that given it was 5:30 in the morning for me. I suspect I'll pay the price this evening but it was really exciting and fun. I was so happy to be there. I really didn't feel sleepy at all until near the last shark picture.

Sam as long as you have a few friends around you shouldn't have any problems locating the VRs if you look for them in different servers, I think so far I've seen numbers 1, 4 and 5. As Joanna says last night was good fun. Japan really know how to do some amazing events.

cheers for that , glad to hear that I should be able to find multiple VR accounts. Obviously the times are a bit silly for us eu folk, so I just wanted to make sure it was worth staying up.

The barracuda is quite fast so you have to focus on it a great deal, on the first appearance earlier on it could be seen up high to the right side if you are looking into the aquarium and it would also come down and swim across in front of us, for the 2nd hour that it appeared it was swimming low and going around from the middle of the tank towards the back and I think it was moving faster, I really only took one shot at it as at the beginning it was out of range.

The shark likes to swim high up near the surface and go around in circles.

I'm also pretty sure I saw the barracuda about 10-15 minutes before 11am Japan local time.

I was in a bit of a panic to get a single shot of the barracuda. My first attempt really annoyed me because the VR and fish disappeared halfway through the hour time slot after I'd been waiting 40 minutes in a 30-person queue. In the second session, I had waited in a another long queue before getting into the tank. After tracking down the barracuda and getting within range for a picture, I managed to snap a shot with only about 5 seconds to spare. What a relief!

Does anyone know how long the barracuda will keep appearing at the current times? I'm not sure that I'll be around to get 2 more chances this week, given the crazy hours.

On a more positive note, I was able to capture 3 shots of the shark in a single 2-hour sitting. I don't understand why the barracuda times are not set up in a similar fashion. Instead, you get an hour block of time and the rep leaves after 30-40 minutes.
