I was hesitant to write this, but Irem's online web store is closing this month.
Could be a business restructure, but it doesn't look like a good sign.

Edit: Just to clarify, it's not about PSHome. It's the site that I provided above. Still, it does make me wonder if they are going to continue making games/home stuff though.

I wonder if this is related to the extended outage.

This is sad as I wanted to purchase one of the fish tank items from them.

Web store? Are you talking about the one in Home or is this non home content? Wow that would be a super big loss if they go out of business. Goodness Sony needs to help them.

Yeah, I've been meaning to buy the Pachipara games from them on the JP PSN. I hope they won't do that at least. :(

Thx for info faga. I've always really appreciated Irem's work as well....hands down, the best developer associated with Home in my opinion. I hope all the bad news stops coming soon.

Me too Hopper, I have always loved their products, most of the things I own in Home are from them. My fear is this leads to the loss of them in Home, and that would be terrible, I love to go to Irem Square and Sea Side of Memories. I can't help but to wonder if this is it for them??? :(

One would hope that developers like Lockwood would jump at the opportunity to buy them or take over their developement if IREM were to go out of business. This is a terrible thing to think about because IREM is really the premier developer in Home, hands down.

I hope we are wrong, and it's just the online store Jo, but if it is closing I hope your right and Lockwood or someone saves them. I would truly hate to see them leave Home and the PSN...

Yes, it'll be a totally waste to see them go. All the Irem spaces would be gone (I'm guessing), and no rewards would be unlocked (again, I'm guessing), plus no return to the April Fools events every year. :(

I'm planning on buying the Pachipara games and add-ons once I go to my yearly anime con and stock up on 5000 yen cards, but the question is that I hope at the end of May or whenever PSN will be back online by the time I get back.

BTW, is there any Pachipara disc games I could buy directly, and do the add-ons are useful for disc games or do they work with just the downloads?

@Faga: You should try and contact Irem directly and ask them about saving PS Home stuff/spaces/rewards for the future. Just tell them we don't want them to take out PS Home's rewards system from the games they got on on the JP PSN and their spaces.

Let's hope that this is just a restructure. Thanks faga, this will be interesting to watch. :taz:

Still think they've missed out on alot of money by not releasing more things in NA Home. Then again that may be more on the NA Home team than IREM themselves.

Gosh faga..... that's sad news. I sure hope they don't go under. Losing their wonderful work in Japan Home would be a very sad thing. :(

I'm just hoping it's a restructure. Irem has been making more money on PS Home with Pachipara, Spelunker, and R-Type (and other PS One titles) being their cash cow series so far - even their April Fools events.

Let's just hope it'll have good news so far and still be in business when PSN is still up.

BTW, I took a look at the PS3 Pachipara disc games at the Irem store. It's still $60 in yen than the 4,800 you get when you download it. Too bad they weren't in the final closeout sale at the Irem store link.

I so hope Irem stay with us, they are like the Gucci of Home to me and I love them and will be so disapointed if we lose them. I just hope all it is is restructuring and they continue.

All the Irem items that we already have would become somewhat exclusive. It would be a real shame to lose their whole back catalogue as well as an end to new releases.

I'll happily sacrifice exlusivity to keep Irem, and I sooo wanted the Pachipara skirt to come to NA, which I think you might be wearing in your picture...

I agree completely about the exclusivity part. It certainly wouldn't soften the blow of losing Irem in the mall.

That entire outfit in my picture is Irem except for the boots. I don't know if the skirt is Pachipara. It has a matching top consisting of a grey vest over a pink shirt but I only have the skirt. Plus the sock and shoe combination.

Yes, the skirt is part of the Pachipara uniform, I've been asking for this uniform on and off in the monthly suggestions threads GW puts in the forums for a while now.
I dont care too much for the shoe and sock combo, I think that is more a Japanese style rather than the wests, so would go with your boots, but would really like to see the skirt come over here.

I bought the Pachipara outfit (male) in Japan Home a year ago. Looks nice on me. ^^
