I don't know if it is just me and my eyes going bad, but I have noticed something different about Home avatars, lately. They all seem to look... Smoother. I can't remember which core update it was that made me notice this, but I've noticed it even more so after the 1.5 update. Certain areas on the avatar's body look smoothed out better.

I had this discussion with a few friends, one night, and they noticed the same thing I did.

Anyone else been noticing this for a while?

I noticed this after 1.4 and with 1.5 it's gotten slightly better, but is it just me or does everything after 1.5 seem very... uhm shadowy I guess is the best word? like everything has a white aura about them, referring to everything graphically as opposed to just avatars.

1.4 did add alterations to the basic hairstyles. they tuned them up a little.

BTW, I noticed heavy changes to the default noob presets. Whole new cast of noob looks to choose from when you are first starting Home.

The preview images of them look so compressed when i checked what new ones they added. 1.4 had a updated graphics systemto smoot out the graphics and make them less blocky

I have noticed that, as well.

In certain lighting, their skin has more of shiny glow, than before, too. It's kind of trippy.

Really? I'll have to check that out. as soon as I can get back on PSN. I've been tired of distance avs and even up close avs, looking like melted candle wax, from time to time. It always made me want to light one of my candles and see how much alike the avatar and wax looked, from a side by side comparison. Lol.

yes, avatars certainly load a lot faster.

From the patch notes: The loading of high “level of detail” characters has been improved.
Guess thats what that's about then :)

It's nice to see improvements like these being made, that's for sure. Home certainly has come a long way.

Hey its EFB! :) I have noticed all of the things that have been mentioned as well. Avis also seem to move faster in general to me....especially when I put on my Tarzan underwear and gold soccer shoes!

Yes, it is I, infamous and famous. Lol. :D

Lol. You sure it's not because your av isn't weighed down, due to less clothing? :p

I'm making my av celebrate No Pants Day, if I remember the date, that is. Not sure how she'll be decorated, yet, but it will be grand.

--good one. Yes, probably moving away from me faster! lol Actually, I meant that to me, my avi seems to move faster in general, but especially fast when I wear.............ah nevermind. Sheesh...I'm all confused now and dont know what I meant  Was just joking around.

Have you ever been in an elevator with someone and feel like you need to say something to break that uncomfortable silence and then after you say it you wish you hadn't because it makes the silence even more uncomfortable? Thats me in a nutshell lol
